Brilliant seven-colored radiance lit up beside him without warning, and as time passed, it only grew brighter.
As the two pairs of long wings beat, howling winds swept outward. Thor, whose current physique was only somewhat stronger than that of an ordinary human, was caught off guard and was actually carried away by the gale, sent flying heavily.
"Wizard!"
After flying several hundred meters and rolling across the ground in a wretched state, Thor finally struggled to his feet.
Having suddenly taken a heavy blow and still not understanding the situation, Thor's head was buzzing. He thought Fenris had suddenly turned on him and attacked. "What are you do—"
"Rumble—"
A low hum rang out, as if even his chest cavity were resonating along with it. Brilliant golden light shot into the sky. The heavy clouds overhead were blown apart beneath that golden light, and a dense power of radiance erupted. In an instant, the originally dark night became exceptionally clear.
Pure moonlight spilled down, bathing the earth in brightness and forcefully choking back the words Thor had not finished speaking.
He stared dumbly at the thick pillar of light a hundred meters away. The sacred sight, like a god descending into the world, left him frozen in place.
"Kree!"
A sharp cry, clear but not piercing, rang out. Fenris's figure had already vanished from the ground. Two pairs of soft wings, one large and one small, shimmering with gentle radiance, slowly unfolded from within.
The edges of the wings were extremely sharp. As they lightly cut through the air, they drew soft golden trails behind them. The closer they reached the center, the heavier and thicker they appeared. These two utterly contradictory sensations now blended together in perfect harmony.
The golden divine light bestowed by the Odinforce flowed across the wings, while faint seven-colored radiance hid beneath it. The instant the pillar of light completely vanished, a Titan beast resembling a butterfly, with a wingspan of nearly seventy meters, appeared before Thor's eyes.
"This… this…"
"Did that wizard transform into this?"
Thor swallowed and rubbed his eyes in disbelief, unable to trust what he was seeing.
He had fought across the Nine Realms for nearly a thousand years. He had seen all kinds of powerful beasts and top-level warriors from various divine races, but he had never encountered such a being before.
The beautiful colossus slowly spread its two pairs of wings in the air. Sacred golden light flowed endlessly from its body. Beneath the pure moonlight, the giant beast beat its wings, and its massive body instantly turned into a seven-colored afterimage, vanishing from Thor's sight.
A sonic boom rang out in the next instant. Thor desperately raised his head and looked upward. Even with his superhuman vision, he could not catch even the slightest trace of that figure. The iron rule that larger beings were less agile seemed to have completely failed on this creature. Between heaven and earth, only drifting golden specks remained, proving that the other party still had not left this place.
At this moment, Fenris's enormous compound eyes were flashing with excitement. Going from stillness to supersonic speed had taken less than a second, yet the immense acceleration seemed to have no effect on him at all.
With a shift of his will, the smaller pair of wings merely trembled slightly, and Fenris's body instantly drew a graceful arc through the air. His direction changed, and he shot straight up into the high sky.
Everything on the ground slowly shrank in his eyes. At the edge of the horizon, the outline of the earth began to reveal itself. Countless landscapes nearly turned into afterimages as they swept past the corners of his vision, yet Fenris's eyes captured them clearly, without the slightest distortion despite his high-speed flight.
"Yahoo!"
Fenris let out an excited shriek. He kept beating his wings, his speed increasing again and again. Later, even he himself no longer knew how fast he was. He only knew that his carefree laughter had not even reached his ears before it had already been thrown far behind him.
Across the vast world, a being unimaginably massive from a human perspective flew and danced freely along the boundary between dawn and night, like a beautiful spirit born from the earth itself. If one ignored the violent airflow and surging divine power behind him, the sight looked almost like a breathtaking oil painting.
Who knew how long had passed before Fenris flew beyond the night, and the golden light of sunrise entered his vision. Only then did he reluctantly return from that state of excitement.
The once-soft wings were now like black-gold armor, sharp and heavy. Hidden beneath those beautiful wings was destructive power that did not lose out to any other Titan.
Just as Godzilla had changed after absorbing hell power and Dark Dimension power, the addition of the Odinforce and the power of Bast, the Black Panther Goddess, had also allowed Mothra to undergo a qualitative leap.
Before this, Fenris had mostly used Mothra's power as a powerful support tool. Whether it was flight or that unique power of rebirth, even the power of her dazzling light had become an optional attack skill because of his Atomic Breath and vibranium battle-axe.
But now, Mothra had transformed into an aerial assassin with powerful defensive ability, filling Fenris's weakness in aerial combat to a great extent.
"As expected of Odin, the God-King. Just one blessing actually brought me such an earth-shattering transformation."
While Fenris sighed inwardly, he finally withdrew his thoughts. Following the direction he had come from, he suddenly beat his wings. In the next moment, his body drew an unbelievable arc through the air and instantly dove back toward the ground.
The sun's light was once again swallowed by night. Very soon, the small town of Puente Antiguo appeared before Fenris's eyes again.
About fifty miles from the town, Fenris's gaze shifted. From several dozen kilometers away, he clearly saw an enormous crater.
The edge of the crater was still giving off scorching heat. At its very center, an exquisite, heavy little hammer stood silently. The intricate runes upon it slowly faded with the passage of time.
The enormous disturbance had already drawn scattered groups of people. Fenris saw dozens of people making their way toward the crater in ones and twos.
"Mjolnir."
Sensing the divine power hidden within it, Fenris understood at once. "I'll find time to take a look tomorrow."
His thoughts withdrew. In the span of a spark, his figure had already gone far away.
"What was that?"
Someone on the way to the crater suddenly heard a rumbling roar from high above, a thunder-like howl that immediately startled them.
However, all the naked eye could see was a flash of golden light vanishing in an instant. They rubbed their eyes and simply assumed it had been an illusion.
"He is finally back."
Inside the barrier Odin had casually set up, Odin, seated upon the throne, sensed the power of radiance rapidly approaching from afar and smiled faintly. His hand holding the spear moved, and the barrier split open at just the right moment.
