It was the first time Mita was alone at home.
Her husband had gone out of town for work, and her mother-in-law had gone to the village.
It was 3:00 AM.

Mita woke up with a start.
Someone was knocking on the front door.
She grabbed her phone in fear.
The screen showed 3:00 AM.
Again—

With a trembling voice, Mita asked,

A slow voice came from outside—
"Open the door… I'm here…"
Mita froze.
It was her husband's voice.

her husband was out of town!
She quickly called him.
The phone rang once… twice… three times…
Then a sleepy voice answered from the other side—
— "Hello… what happened?"
Mita's whole body turned cold.

who was standing outside the door?
Just then, her husband suddenly screamed on the phone—
— "Don't open the door! And don't look under the bed! Don't look under the bed!"
Mita became completely still with fear.

from under her bed, a whisper slowly rose—
"She's not opening the door… now you look down here…"
