Lily Frost stood outside the enormous Clark Family gates with her hands clasped behind her back while trying very hard to suppress the smile threatening to appear on her face.
The challenge letter had already been delivered more than an hour ago, and ever since then she had been waiting outside like an ordinary village girl seeking an audience with a powerful family young master. Unfortunately, her thoughts were anything but ordinary.
The more she thought about it, the more ridiculous the situation became.
"There's no way it can be him," she muttered quietly while kicking a small pebble along the stone road. "The World Tree assigns identities according to fate. How could Tony end up as the young master of a first-rate family again? If that's really him, then heaven must secretly be his father."
A nearby guard glanced at her strangely.
Meanwhile, Lily's thoughts continued racing.
