"Beware of the... Scale."
With that, her body completely disappeared from Kyle's hands and broke down into glowing golden particles floating up toward the sky.
Kyle knelt there for a moment, staring at the empty space where Lilian's body had been.
Golden particles still drifted in the air, catching the pale light before fading into nothing.
She was gone.
His master. His teacher. The woman who had saved his life, trained him, and given him a home.
Kyle frowned sadly. Their relationship wasn't very strong, but it would be a lie to say he wasn't sad about her leaving.
After a moment, his attention turned to her last words.
`Beware of the Scale...`
He frowned. The words echoed in his head.
`Scale? Does she mean Libra?`
The boy with white hair and golden eyes. He seemed smarter than the other kids, but Kyle didn't notice anything strange about him.
`Why would she warn me about a kid?`
Then she remembered that moment when Lilian shivered near him.
`Is he hiding something?`
