Chapter 361 - Chapter 361: The Legendary War Begins! Evil Hoopa's Six Summoned Legends!

Chapter 361: The Legendary War Begins! Evil Hoopa's Six Summoned Legends!

The group rode Reshiram, following Baraz and Meray, first locating the Prison Bottle — Baraz had shown genuine foresight, having already dispatched Braviary to stand guard nearby, keeping any passersby or wild Pokémon from accidentally touching it.

Mammon then released Dark Mewtwo, using its psychic power to hold the Prison Bottle steady — this way they could transport it away safely while ensuring no one fell under the control of the grudge sealed within it.

The group left the Vale of Creation and headed for a remote, isolated location.

Roughly half an hour later, they arrived at an empty stretch of desolate wasteland.

"Stay here, all of you. Be careful."

Atop a nearby hill, Mammon gave instructions to Caitlin and the others. For their safety, he left Jirachi and Diancie behind with them as well.

"Alright, Mammon. Hoopa, you two be careful as well."

"Don't worry."

Mammon gave an okay sign, signaling Reshiram to fly a safe distance away, with Confined Hoopa nestled in his arms.

"Let's begin."

At Mammon's signal, Dark Mewtwo used its psychic power to pry open the mouth of the Prison Bottle.

The next instant, a massive surge of black energy came pouring out, immediately sweeping straight toward Confined Hoopa.

But Reshiram had already prepared for this, instantly raising an Endure barrier.

The black energy crashed against it violently, but couldn't break through — the cloud-like mass of dark power writhed and twisted furiously, as though howling in rage.

Finding it couldn't reach Confined Hoopa directly, the massive black energy retreated and began to condense.

Before Confined Hoopa's stunned eyes, a colossal, giant-shaped Pokémon soon threw its head back in a savage roar, an overwhelming, crushing pressure spreading across the entire landscape.

Hoopa Unbound!!

But unlike ordinary Hoopa Unbound, this one's eyes glowed with a genuinely spine-chilling crimson.

This was Evil Hoopa Unbound, condensed from the grudge-consciousness of Hoopa's own sealed power!

"What is that?"

Standing atop the distant hilltop, Caitlin and the others froze at the sight of this evil Hoopa.

"This is Hoopa's true form — but..." Baraz was genuinely stunned.

Without Confined Hoopa itself, could this power really condense a body all on its own?

"It's fine. Mammon will defeat it."

After her initial shock passed, Caitlin's composure returned, a faint, elegant, confident smile settling over her features.

"Rotom, make sure you get good footage of this." Caitlin instructed the Rotom Camera.

"Leave it to me, Roto~" The Rotom Camera sounded thoroughly confident.

Right — in Caitlin's view, Mammon's heroic form was never something to be missed.

"How is this even possible..." Confined Hoopa was thoroughly stunned at this point.

No physical body, and it condensed this entire form from pure energy alone? Since when did its own power have THAT kind of capability?

"VANISH!!"

The moment it appeared, Evil Hoopa's eyes — etched with hatred, twisted and malevolent — locked onto Confined Hoopa, unleashing a furious roar.

Confined Hoopa instinctively shrank back, but feeling the warmth radiating from behind it, quickly found its nerve again.

"Hoopa's not the one who's gonna vanish! YOU should vanish instead!" Confined Hoopa glared furiously back at Evil Hoopa.

Evil Hoopa's expression twisted further, its hundred years of sealed resentment having warped it entirely beyond recognition.

Fwoosh, fwoosh, fwoosh!

A whooshing sound tore through the air as six massive demonic severed arms shot out from the openings on either side of Evil Hoopa's body, hovering around it. The demonic arms spread their claws wide and twisted, the spatial rings on their wrists expanding and launching outward.

Ring after ring materialized around Reshiram, surrounding it completely from every direction — front, back, left, right, above, below.

Menacing fists emerged from within these spatial rings, dark energy blazing to life.

"Mamon, watch out! That's Hoopa's Hyperspace Fury!" Confined Hoopa shouted a warning at Mammon immediately.

"Reshiram! Mewtwo!"

Mammon understood at once, giving the order to both Pokémon instantly.

Reshiram's eyes went sharp, immediately darting toward the gap between the rings above.

The next instant, six fists slammed out violently from the rings.

Dark-type Hyperspace Fury!

RUMBLE-BOOM!

A thunderous explosion rang out, but thankfully Reshiram's reaction had been fast enough, the powerful shockwave still sending it flying back a fair distance.

Seeing Hyperspace Fury miss its mark, Evil Hoopa let out a furious roar.

At the same moment, Dark Mewtwo, having shifted into Mega Mewtwo Y at some point unnoticed, fired off a burst of Dark Pulse straight at Evil Hoopa.

Evil Hoopa showed no fear whatsoever, the void in its chest condensing dark energy of its own, firing back its own Dark Pulse in return.

BOOM!

Another thunderous crash rang out as the two Dark Pulses collided violently and exploded.

"So this really is your power, Hoopa — managing to match Mewtwo's attack blow for blow."

Reshiram, having regained its footing, let out a click of amazement, and Mammon couldn't help a note of genuine admiration himself.

After all, ever since gaining the ability to Mega Evolve, Mega Mewtwo Y's combat strength had already reached top-tier Legendary territory. And its strength had continued growing at a rapid pace since then, further boosted by the Dread Plate — Mega Mewtwo Y's current combat power was now genuinely formidable.

And yet Evil Hoopa's own Dark Pulse had matched it entirely evenly — a testament to just how genuinely strong Evil Hoopa really was.

"Of course! Hoopa used to be super strong!" Confined Hoopa couldn't help a flicker of pride.

"Something seems a bit off about it, though." Mammon chuckled, but his eyes narrowed slightly as he studied Evil Hoopa.

Evil Hoopa's terrifying crimson eyes stayed fixed on Mega Mewtwo Y, seeming to sense its genuine strength — it made no further move to press the attack for the moment.

Its six demonic arms swayed gently, six spatial rings expanding out to either side of Evil Hoopa's body.

"It can do the snatch-summon thing too??" Confined Hoopa was stunned all over again. Damn it, how does this knockoff version of me get to use EVERYTHING?!

"Looks like it's about to summon reinforcements." Mammon clicked his tongue.

"It definitely is, but Mamon, you don't need to worry." Confined Hoopa pouted.

"Hoopa's snatching power can only teleport a target here — but the Pokémon it brings over won't necessarily help it out. That evil shadow's already gone completely off the rails, it's not thinking straight."

Confined Hoopa wasn't the least bit worried — nobody understood its own ability better than it did.

Sure, its ring-based teleportation was genuinely, absurdly overpowered — unmatched anywhere in the world. But any Pokémon pulled through still had a will of its own. Just because you teleported someone over didn't mean they'd automatically fight on your side.

That was wishful thinking, plain and simple.

Confined Hoopa was genuinely confident that any Pokémon Evil Hoopa summoned would likely turn around and attack Evil Hoopa directly instead — just like Kyogre and Groudon had, a hundred years ago, when it had summoned them and they'd immediately attacked the Hoopa Unbound of that era on landing.

Because Hoopa Unbound had pulled this stunt more than once or twice back then — most Legendary Pokémon genuinely held a grudge against it, thoroughly disliking Hoopa Unbound as a result.

"Is that so? I'm not so sure." Mammon watched Evil Hoopa. What Confined Hoopa said wasn't wrong, exactly — that was a perfectly reasonable expectation.

But the key difference between Evil Hoopa and an ordinary Hoopa Unbound was the sheer, overwhelming depth and intensity of its resentment.

Not that Mammon was especially worried about it — honestly, he was genuinely curious who exactly Evil Hoopa was about to summon this time.

"Wait, Hoopa, snatch them over first, before the other side gets to them."

Something seemed to occur to Mammon, and he immediately told Confined Hoopa.

"Ohh."

Confined Hoopa immediately tossed out the two rings on its horns.

The rings expanded out to either side, light beginning to flicker.

ROAR!!

Evil Hoopa let out a savage, furious howl, this demonic deity wildly flailing its six massive arms.

The atmosphere grew heavier still, the sky darkening, black clouds churning overhead.

The centers of the six spatial rings began to ripple violently.

At last, from the first spatial ring, a deep, resonant dragon's roar echoed out.

A radiant glow of purple-pink pearl light illuminated the sky, and a centauroid, Space Pokémon drifted majestically and gracefully out of the ring.

The legendary Origin Forme Palkia!

The second ring flared simultaneously, and Dialga, its body shimmering with a diamond-blue divine radiance, drifted out.

The legendary Dialga!

The third spatial ring.

Green light shot skyward, and two Zygarde Cores leapt out simultaneously, a torrent of green light-motes streaking down like a meteor shower, pouring frantically into the two Cores.

A green cyclone connected earth and sky, and the next instant, the cyclone shattered violently, revealing a colossal black-green giant standing tall.

The legendary Sentinel of Order, Complete Forme Zygarde!

At this point, Confined Hoopa had gone completely rigid with shock, swallowing hard involuntarily.

The fourth spatial ring.

A commanding, resonant dragon's roar shook heaven and earth, and a magnificent, dominant Mega Rayquaza came gliding out, its green, overwhelming dragon body radiating pure intimidation.

The legendary sky sovereign, Mega Rayquaza.

The fifth spatial ring.

An ancient king, mounted on a black horse, stepped slowly out of the ring.

The legendary King of Kings, Calyrex — currently riding its dark steed, Spectrier.

The sixth ring.

A colorful, tortoise-shaped Pokémon drifted slowly out of the ring, and the next instant, amid a blinding flash of light—

When it reappeared, eighteen crystalline fragments spun ceaselessly around its body, its gem-encrusted form gleaming so brilliantly it practically constituted visual pollution.

None other than the legendary "Treasure of Nothing," Terastal Forme Terapagos!

The six Legendary Pokémon stood arrayed on either side of Evil Hoopa, their combined, overwhelming presence weighing down on the entire landscape.

Evil Hoopa's arms twisted, the rings slowly shrinking and returning to its wrists.

Those crimson, gleaming eyes fixed on Confined Hoopa, radiating a genuinely spine-chilling, malevolent hostility.

"This..."

Confined Hoopa was utterly, thoroughly stunned!

Wait, hold on, how are you THIS reckless?!

Even at its own peak, it never once dared snatch six Legendaries THIS powerful all at once!

And most importantly — Confined Hoopa glanced at the six Legendary Pokémon Evil Hoopa had just summoned, and noticed something: every single one of them, uniformly, had eyes flickering with the exact same crimson glow as Evil Hoopa itself.

No question about it — this was a genuinely major problem!

"Mammon, I think we're in real trouble..."

Confined Hoopa desperately burrowed itself deeper into Mammon's arms, thoroughly terrified.

"Tch~ now THIS truly is a once-in-ten-thousand-years spectacle." Mammon, meanwhile, broke into a wide grin.

Looking at the seven top-tier Legendary Pokémon arrayed before him, Mammon couldn't help his breathing quickening involuntarily.

Damn it, he was genuinely, thoroughly thrilled right now!

"Human, don't tell me you're actually planning to take THEM on this time."

Just then, a deep, familiar voice reached Mammon's ears.

"That's right, Rayquaza. Long time no see."

Mammon glanced to his side — Black Rayquaza's dragon eyes were currently fixed, genuinely bewildered, on the Mega Rayquaza across the field. That was its mate...

Though, from the looks of things, its own mate appeared to be under someone's control right now.

"Seven opponents like these, Rayquaza — what do you think?" Mammon asked with a smile.

Black Rayquaza was, quite genuinely, laughing out of sheer disbelief. Even it, looking at those seven Legendaries across the field, felt its scales crawling — was that not a reasonable reaction?!?

"Human, send me back. I have no interest in getting caught up in whatever this is between you two."

Another deep, thoroughly reluctant telepathic voice rang out.

Kyurem's dragon eyes were deeply, genuinely sour, especially after glancing over at the lineup on the other side and comparing it against their own.

It wanted to leave even more now.

"Kyurem, that's not exactly fair of you." Mammon tried reasoning with it.

Right — he'd had Confined Hoopa pull both Kyurem and Black Rayquaza in first. Otherwise, if Evil Hoopa had gotten to them first, this fight would've genuinely become a nightmare.

"I have no interest in arguing this with you. Send me back immediately, or don't blame me if I end up helping the other side against you instead!"

Kyurem's dragon eyes stayed cold and dark.

Goddammit, this human — it had been sleeping peacefully in Giant Chasm, and the moment it opened its eyes, there were these seven THINGS staring back at it, and Kyurem's whole dragon brain just about short-circuited.

You've got something genuinely good going on and you don't think to invite it — and instead it gets dragged into THIS mess? Is this human even sane?
