Chapter 5 - Heaven Notices Something Is Wrong

High above all worlds…

Beyond stars, beyond time, beyond space…

There existed a place where no mortal could reach.

Heaven.

It was a realm of endless light.

Golden clouds stretched across infinity. Rivers of pure energy flowed like galaxies. Massive palaces floated in the sky, each radiating divine power.

This was the center of order.

The place where the laws of the universe were maintained.

At the highest point of Heaven stood a massive hall.

The Hall of Judgment.

Inside, countless figures made of light stood in silence.

They were not humans.

They were not gods.

They were something in between.

Angels.

At the center of the hall, a giant mirror floated in the air. Inside the mirror, countless worlds could be seen — being born, evolving, and dying.

This was the Heavenly Observation Mirror.

Nothing escaped its sight.

Or at least… that was what Heaven believed.

The Disturbance

A tall angel stepped forward.

Its six wings spread slowly, and its voice echoed across the hall.

"Report."

Another angel bowed slightly.

"Tianhe World has deviated from predicted calculations."

The hall became silent.

"Explain," the first angel said.

"Tianhe World was scheduled to remain stable for another 3,000 years," the second angel replied. "However, within a short period of time, large-scale destruction occurred. The kingdom collapsed. The Heavenly Temple was destroyed."

The mirror shifted.

An image appeared.

Lin Ye, standing on a throne, surrounded by corpses.

His eyes were cold. Dark energy flowed around him like black flames.

"This is the source of the disturbance," the angel said.

The first angel looked at Lin Ye.

"A newly born demon?" it asked.

"No," the second angel said. "This energy… does not match any known demonic system."

The hall became even more silent.

Heaven had existed for countless years.

They had seen all kinds of demons.

But this…

This was new.

The Impossible Energy

The Heavenly Observation Mirror zoomed in further.

The angels watched as Lin Ye cultivated.

They watched as he absorbed pain.

They watched as he absorbed hatred.

They watched as he grew stronger from killing.

"This cultivation method…" one angel said slowly, "it converts emotional suffering directly into power."

Another angel spoke:

"That is impossible. Emotional energy should be filtered through the Heavenly System."

A third angel said:

"It is bypassing the system."

Silence.

That sentence changed everything.

"Bypassing the system."

That meant one thing.

Someone… somewhere… had created a method that did not rely on Heaven.

The First Suspicion

The six-winged angel looked at the mirror and said:

"Trace the origin."

The mirror began to tremble as it searched for the source of Lin Ye's power.

It followed the energy.

Back through time.

Back through space.

Back to the moment Lin Ye found the book.

The mirror showed the black book.

Then it tried to trace the book's origin.

For a brief moment…

The mirror saw something.

Darkness.

Endless, deep, terrifying darkness.

And in that darkness…

A figure sitting on a throne.

The figure opened its eyes.

The Gaze

In the void, Mo Wudao looked directly at the mirror.

For the first time…

Heaven was seen.

And he saw them back.

The Heavenly Observation Mirror cracked slightly.

Inside the Hall of Judgment, all the angels stepped back.

"That… is impossible…" one of them whispered.

"How can something exist outside the observation of Heaven?"

Mo Wudao did not speak.

He only looked.

But that gaze alone was enough.

It was calm.

It was cold.

It was absolute.

Then, slowly, he smiled.

And raised his hand.

The Warning

Back in Heaven, the mirror suddenly went black.

Then a sentence appeared on its surface.

Not written in light.

Written in darkness.

"You have been watching the world for a long time."

The angels froze.

Another sentence appeared.

"Now it is my turn to watch you."

The Hall of Judgment shook violently.

This had never happened before.

Never.

Heaven was supposed to be above everything.

Untouchable.

Unreachable.

But now…

Something had reached them.

The Decision

The six-winged angel stepped forward, its voice no longer calm.

"Identify the entity."

No one answered.

Because they couldn't.

It did not exist in any record.

It did not exist in any system.

It did not exist under Heaven's control.

Which meant only one thing.

"An anomaly," the angel said.

"No," another angel corrected.

After a long silence, it spoke again:

"A threat."

The hall became filled with killing intent.

Orders were given immediately.

"Dispatch a Heavenly Envoy."

"Send an Angel Legion."

"Erase Tianhe World."

"Destroy the anomaly's influence."

The Calm Before War

In the void, Mo Wudao watched everything.

He saw their fear.

He saw their reaction.

He saw their decision.

And he was satisfied.

"Good," he said softly.

"Now the game begins."

He leaned back on his throne and closed his eyes.

"Come."

"Send your angels."

"Let me show you…"

"What happens when your system… is no longer the only one."

Far away, in Tianhe World…

Lin Ye stood on top of the burning Heavenly Temple and looked at the sky.

For the first time, he felt something approaching.

Something powerful.

Something divine.

He smiled.

"So they're finally coming."

Above the clouds, the sky slowly split open.

Golden light poured down.

Wings.

Countless wings.

Angels were descending.
