Everyone soon settled into their seats, enjoying breakfast in relative peace.
Leo was the first to finish and dash off, leaving behind the three adults. Xander, Aaron, and Ivy continued eating, though "peaceful" was slowly becoming an optimistic word.
"Oh, I finished my sandwich," Aaron announced dramatically, as if he had just accomplished something worthy of applause.
Then he turned to Ivy with a bright smile.
"Can you pass me that plate?"
Everyone at the table knew that smile was not friendly. It was the kind of smile that came with trouble… and a little bit of evil sprinkled on top.
Ivy met his gaze with a deadly glare.
Is there any way I can wipe that smile off his face? He's clearly enjoying this way too much.
Still, she forced a polite smile and passed him the plate.
Aaron casually picked a sandwich and placed it on his plate, looking entirely too pleased with himself.
