Chapter 1 - Chapter 1:A Perfectly Happy & United Family

Once upon a time, a happy family lived in a place named Libertinagar.

The family consisted of an old man, who was Meera's grandfather, Meer,'s herself, her father, mother, uncle, aunty, and Cousin sister. Inside lived a big joint family. At the center of it all was Meera's grandfather—a man of wisdom, discipline, and respect. People in Libertinagar spoke his name with honor. He had built everything the family owned from the ground up, turning a small business into a powerful diamond empire.

Living with him were Meera, a bright and innocent girl with curious eyes; her father, a responsible and hardworking man;

Meera's grandmother has passed away two years ago. She was the emotional heart of the family—the one who kept everyone together. After her death, a quiet emptiness spread through the house. Meera's grandfather changed the most. Once full of energy, he now spent most of his time sitting silently, lost in memories.

Despite this, the family continued to live well. Their wealth was immense. They owned vast lands, expensive properties, and a highly successful diamond business that brought them fame and fortune. In fact, the people of Libertinagar often called them "zamindars," not just because of their riches, but because of their influence and status.

As the grandfather's health declined, the responsibility of managing the business shifted to Meera's father and uncle. Both of them worked day and night, trying to keep the business running smoothly. At least on the surface, everything seemed perfect. The business was growing, money was flowing, and the family still appeared united.

But sometimes, perfection hides silent cracks.

There were moments—small, almost invisible—when differences began to appear. A disagreement during a business discussion, a slight change in tone, a look of dissatisfaction… things that no one paid much attention to. Meera, though young, could sometimes feel that something wasn't quite right, but she couldn't understand what it was.

And then came the day that changed everything.

It was an ordinary morning. The sun was shining, and the house was waking up to another day. Suddenly, a loud noise echoed from the grandfather's room. Within moments, chaos spread across the house. Meera's grandfather had suffered a severe heart attack.

Everyone rushed to his side. Panic filled the air. Calls were made, doctors were summoned, prayers were whispered… but fate had already decided.

Within a short time, the man who held the entire family together was gone.

Silence took over the mansion.

The halls that once echoed with laughter now felt empty. The dining table, once full of conversations, became quiet. Tears, grief, and disbelief surrounded everyone. Meera stood still, unable to fully understand the loss, yet feeling it deeply in her heart.

But as days passed and the rituals ended, something slowly began to change.

The warmth in the house started fading. Conversations became shorter. Smiles became forced. And behind closed doors, whispers began.

Discussions about the business turned serious. Talks about property became frequent. Questions arose—who would control what, who deserved more, and how everything would be divided.

The same house that once symbolized unity now began to feel divided.

And without anyone realizing it…

the seeds of conflict had already been planted.
