Stan remained buried deep inside Sophie for a long moment, breathing hard, the last pulses of his release still warming her. Sophie lay spent beneath him, body soft and trembling, her cheek pressed to the sheets, a blissful, exhausted smile on her lips.
Across the room Camilla's thoughts continued to turn, cool and sharp even as her spiritual sense refused to look away.
