"Rin…make a decision please."
Albus asked again, but this time, he reached out to touch Rin's shoulder as well. His touch helped ground Rin and he let out a frustrated sigh.
He looked at Serena, or what used to be Serena, and felt his heart hurting. But he had to make a decision now.
Shelly grabbed his hand and squeezed it tightly to make him feel better. Rin looked at her with a questioning look in his eyes, but she did not look at him. Instead, she kept looking at Serena with a predatory look in her eyes.
"It seems like we have no choice but to put that monster down. Don't look so down, Rin. I promise I will make her death as painless as possible."
Shelly promised and Rin felt happy and sad at the same time.
His companions were a source of strength for him, and currently, they were the ones who were a source of common sense for him as well.
