Chapter 118 - Chapter 118: Aftermath

After the Totem Black Snake incident, West Lake.

Mo Fan truly profited immensely from this. Not only did he have Teacher Teacher Tang Yue perform for him, but he also obtained the Totem Black Snake's High Level snake scales and absorbed nearly ten thousand White Demon Eagle remnant souls, including one War General Level spirit essence out of ten thousand.

Sitting down to stabilize his condition, Mo Fan quickly guided the accumulated soul energy into his Fire Element nebula. The moment the energy poured in, the seven stars of his Fire Element began to tremble violently, their glow deepening as if fuel had been thrown directly into a raging flame.

A few crisp sounds echoed in his spiritual world.

Pop, pop!

The star tracks subtly expanded.

The structure refined.

The flames within each star grew denser and far more controlled.

Mo Fan opened his eyes.

His Fire Burst had stepped into Level 5.

Now, even the simplest burst of flame carried a sharper, more concentrated destructive force, no longer spreading wastefully, but exploding with precision and weight.

He raised his hand slightly.

A small flame flickered.

But the pressure it emitted—

was completely different from before.

He was considered to have grandly saved Hangzhou, and as for Luo Mian's death, almost no one mentioned it. For this cancer to be eliminated by the Totem Black Snake, no one thought there was anything wrong with it. After the crisis in Hangzhou ended and Zhu Meng and the others had recovered, they sought out Mo Fan. Zhu Meng had planned to arrange a nomination vote for Mo Fan. Chinese National Team candidates indeed needed to compete, but how many people of this age could reach High Level? If Mo Fan who was initially one step away from High level reached High level. Mo Fan wouldn't need to compete at all; he could directly secure this spot. This led to greater determination and need to reach the high level also with the coming of his summoning element now reaching a terrifying level. It wasn't wrong to say that any summoner in the entire world would not be willing to trade any of their summoned beasts for any of Mo Fans. Having Wolfie was ridiculous enough an Antartic Wolf from the Extreme dust area in which only the survival of the fittest prevail. A species so ancient it was unknown to the general public and only the extreme echelon of individuals in the the roof of the world would be aware of. Furthermore Wolfie wasn't the only one their was the Lightning belle and elemental royalty in which would grow into the tallest of trees amongst heaven and earth and yet there was another belle of the Fire element in which had not been born yet. Mo Fan's future twin daughter the FLAME empress. Any one of these 3 could be propelled to the Emperor level had they been given the chance.

"Kid, no matter what, thank you this time. I, Zhu Meng, owe you a favor. If you ever need anything in the future, you can come find me," Zhu Meng continued.

"Oh, mm..."

Mo Fan responded perfunctorily.

He didn't take these so-called favors seriously at all.

When something genuinely important happened, they would have all sorts of concerns, which is commonly known as being useless.

Well, of course, nothing is absolute. At least, in the city, if he saw someone he didn't like and directly used magic to beat them up, it seemed there really wouldn't be any trouble.

If it were someone else, the Magic Association and the Judgment Association would certainly not agree.

And that was all.

After the Hangzhou incident concluded, Mo Fan found Huo Tuo through Old Bao. He gave Huo Tuo the two blood teeth from Nie Dong in exchange for the opportunity to have his Magic Tool crafted.

Huo Tuo was somewhat shocked upon seeing the two Vampire teeth. He always felt that Mo Fan seemed to have researched him. He came prepared!

But it had to be said, his preparation was very thorough. At least, Huo Tuo was extremely susceptible to this approach.

There was nothing he could do; Mo Fan was still short on money. Especially with so many systems to cultivate, a lot of resources were needed. Although the money earned by Liu Xian and Liu Ru sisters when they started ruling the Demon City Blood Clan was quite substantial, the Blood Clan wasn't a money-making machine. Now, earning one to two tens of millions a month was already considered very good.

Originally, Mo Fan had planned for one or two small targets a month, thinking his cultivation speed would soar. But apparently, once it started, it would involve harsh exploitation, making the Blood Clan of the Demon City do some unstable things. But he had also discussed this matter with Leng Qing. If things were unstable here, Liu Xian and Liu Ru might not be able to live peacefully either. So, he could only continue to be poor.

Upon returning to the Demon City, Mo Fan did not continue with the Fire Institute's challenge matches. He was focussed on trying to reach the High tier realm being that he was initially at the perfection realm of Intermediate 3 before his idiot little loach forced him to use his demon element. Mo Fan was forced to restart and cultivate all of the level 3 again and reach the perfection realm. He was confident though because he had reached it once surely he could do it again.

Having prepared for his time of secluded meditation, he forced himself deeper into cultivation.

Mo Fan sat cross-legged, his consciousness sinking once more into his spiritual world. The Fire Element nebula before him was no longer unfamiliar, yet it no longer felt the same either. The stars that had once reached perfection had now fallen back, their glow slightly dimmer, their rotation less stable.

He exhaled slowly.

Then began again.

The first step was reconstruction.

He guided the fire energy carefully through the star tracks, rebuilding the pathways that had once been instinctive to him. Each movement required focus. Each connection between stars had to be redrawn with precision.

The seven stars trembled slightly.

Their rotation was uneven.

But under his control, they slowly began to stabilize.

Hours passed.

Mo Fan did not stop.

Again and again, he circulated the energy, correcting flaws, tightening the structure, forcing the stars to rotate in perfect alignment. The process was slow, far slower than before. What had once come naturally now demanded deliberate effort.

Every mistake caused backlash.

The nebula would shake.

The flames would flicker uncontrollably.

His head would throb.

But he continued.

Day after day, he repeated the same process.

Circulate.

Stabilize.

Refine.
