Chapter 99 - THE AZURE DRAGON TOTEM BEAST

Grrr....

The Snake emitted a low, guttural growl, its hostility palpable.

The Black Totem Snake's massive head lowered, its golden eyes narrowing as it focused on him.

To it, Mo Fan wasn't just a human; he was something far more sinister. Its magical senses perceived the dark, ominous aura of the Sacred Evil God's power bound to his soul.

Mo Fan instinctively stepped back again, his mind racing. He was powerless against a creature of this scale.

The Black Totem Snake was a Supreme Ruler-level Totem beast; even with his full arsenal, he wouldn't stand a chance.

The snake froze, its golden eyes widening slightly.

Mo Fan's own eyes widened. "H-Hey, don't make rash decisions like that!" he whispered urgently.

_Why the hell are you trying to make it more angry??_ Mo Fan genuinely wanted to cry right now!!

Her declaration hung in the air, heavy with emotion.

The Black Totem Snake stared at her for a long moment. Then it suddenly shifted it's gaze back to Mo Fan.

The moment the ginormous eyes fell on him, he flinched.

The Snake's eyes suddenly glowed in a brilliant golden light!

It chose to attack Mo Fan.

Before Tang Yue could respond, the Black Totem Snake lunged towards Mo Fan as it opened its massive Maw filled with Poisonous toxins.

"Shi—"

The Black Totem Snake lunged at Mo Fan with terrifying speed, leaving no time for him or Tang Yue to react.

Mo Fan, powerless against the overwhelming force, could only raise his arms in a futile attempt to shield himself, his face pale with fear.

"Shi—!"

The snake closed in, its massive head cutting through the air like a thunderous storm. Within a second, it was within ten meters of its target.

Its emerald eyes burned with an intense need to finish what it had failed to do a day ago.

But just as it reached five meters above Mo Fan, poised to strike, something caught its attention.

A faint glow emanated from Mo Fan's chest, partially obscured by his arms but impossible to miss.

twiiinn~

BWOOOSHHHH!!!!!!

Suddenly, the glow erupted into an intense azure light, blinding the entire area.

The light radiated with such force that it engulfed the entire island Mo Fan had purchased, turning everything into a surreal azure landscape.

Time itself seemed to halt.

Mo Fan stood frozen, his arms still raised in defence. Tang Yue, her face twisted in fear and shock, was motionless beside him.

The Black Totem Snake, however, was not granted the same stasis.

While its body was paralyzed, its mind remained conscious, fully aware of the extraordinary phenomenon unfolding around it.

The snake's senses, honed through centuries as a magical Totem beast, screamed of danger.

The azure light carried an energy that was ancient and immeasurably powerful.

A primal fear stirred deep within its being, something far beyond the rational mind of a creature—even one as mighty as itself.

Then, it felt it.

A cold, suffocating dread swept over the Black Totem Snake, causing its enormous body to tremble uncontrollably.

Its instincts, buried deep within its bloodline, roared with a singular command: Run. Run and don't look back.

But it couldn't move.

Voooooommmmm~~~~~~

As the Black Totem Snake quivered in the azure-drenched stillness, the air began to thrum with an ancient and powerful resonance.

From the heart (Mo Fan's chest) of the glowing light, something heaven defying began to take form—a being so majestic, it seemed to transcend the bounds of mortal comprehension.

First came the silhouette,

An immense serpentine figure that seemed to stretch beyond the horizon, its very presence warping the space around it.

The contours of its body coiled with an elegance that spoke of both primal ferocity and celestial grace.

Slowly, its scales came into focus, each one a shimmering masterpiece of azure, glowing softly yet with an intensity that demanded reverence.

The scales were unlike anything seen before—perfectly polished, as if each was crafted by the heavens themselves.

They rippled with a luminous brilliance, shifting between shades of deep ocean blue and radiant sapphire as though the dragon carried the essence of the sea and sky within its form.

Its head emerged next, a visage both regal and fearsome.

A pair of long, sweeping antlers crowned its head, branching upward like living conduits of celestial energy.

They crackled faintly with sparks of Cyan lightning, a testament to the creature's raw power.

Its golden eyes burned with an ancient wisdom, each pupil a slit that seemed to pierce through time and space, leaving nothing unseen.

A magnificent mane flowed down its neck, ethereal and unbound, glowing with an inner light that danced like the aurora.

It moved as though carried by an unseen wind, cascading around the being's face in waves of pure energy.

It's four limbs materialized next, each ending in sharp, clawed talons that gleamed like forged crystal.

The claws seemed capable of rending the heavens themselves, their edges pulsating faintly with the same azure hue that enveloped the dragon.

As the being's full form was revealed, its sheer size became apparent.

It coiled effortlessly around the entire island, its body like an infinite river of power and majesty.

Yet, despite its immense scale, it moved with a fluidity and grace that defied its enormity, each motion imbued with an otherworldly elegance.

Hovering in the sky, its presence felt like the embodiment of the heavens and earth united.

The surrounding air thickened with its divine aura, crackling softly as streaks of cyan lightning danced across the sky, illuminating the world below.

Its every breath seemed to stir the winds, causing the sea to tremble and the earth to quake in reverence.

This... was the Oriental Sacred Azure Dragon—a celestial ruler, a Sacred Totem Beast, and the pinnacle of all magic beasts.

Its appearance was not just a display of power but a proclamation of its absolute right to command the heavens and earth.

The Black Totem Snake, a Supreme Ruler Level Totem Beast of immense power and pride, suddenly felt like nothing more than an insignificant worm squirming in mud.

It didn't dare lift its gaze to meet the being before it.

The air grew heavier as the massive entity's presence loomed over the paralyzed snake.

It's entire body tensed up as a Bloodline pressure unlike anything it had ever felt before erupted all across its body to make it bow down to the Sacred Azure Dragon.

The majestic Sacred Azure Dragon, slightly translucent, gazed down at the comparatively puny Black Totem Snake before turning its eyes toward Mo Fan, its master.

Its ethereal presence exuded an overwhelming sense of authority.

Closing its eyes, the dragon released an intense azure glow that concentrated on Mo Fan's forehead.

The glow twisted and condensed into the shape of a coiling dragon tattoo—a sacred symbol signifying that Mo Fan was the Sacred Totem Guardian of the Azure Dragon.

Shatter!

Mo Fan's body shuddered as the glow enveloping him shattered like fragile glass, freeing him from his frozen state.

"Huh?" Mo Fan muttered, bewildered. He still shielded himself for Black Totem Snake's attack, but it never came.

He opened his eyes and moved his hands down and glanced around at the azure-drenched world surrounding him.

Turning his head, his gaze landed on the majestic dragon, its piercing eyes locked on the motionless Black Totem Snake.

"L-Little Loach?!" Mo Fan exclaimed, recognizing the dragon in its spiritual form.

The sight of his long-dormant companion stunned him. "What's going on here?"

WHOOSH~

The Sacred Azure Dragon fluidly moved its massive head closer to him.

Mo Fan instinctively extended a hand, brushing against the dragon's metallic chin. Though it was in a spiritual form, the connection felt real, tangible.

The dragon's enormous tail wagged with delight, a sign of its happiness at the reunion.

"Am I in your world right now?" Mo Fan asked, noting that Tang Yue and the Black Totem Snake were frozen, motionless.

The dragon pulled back slightly and nodded its majestic head in affirmation.

"I see… So, I guess you saved me. Thanks, Little Loach," Mo Fan said.

The Sacred Azure Dragon shifted its gaze back to the Black Totem Snake.

Fury flickered in its eyes.

One of the younger generation of Totem Beasts had dared to threaten its Grand Sacred Totem Guardian—an unforgivable act.

Mo Fan sensed the dragon's simmering anger.

Sssh...

SWOOSH!!!!!

Before he could speak, a piercing azure beam erupted from the dragon's eyes, striking the motionless Black Totem Snake with unrelenting force.

"Wait!" Mo Fan's heart stopped as he realized the Sacred Azure Dragon intended to kill the snake.

But the dragon didn't stop.

CRACK!!

The beam intensified, cracks spreading across the surface of the Black Totem Snake's body like a spider web.

"Stop that!!" Mo Fan shouted furiously.

WHOOOSSSH!!!!!

A crimson aura burst forth from Mo Fan's chest.

The Demon Element Pearl violently awakened.

It felt as if something inside his body had just been torn open.

Dark crimson energy erupted outward like a violent tide.

Part of the azure drenched world was instantly dyed crimson, the two powers colliding like opposing heavens.

The Demon Element was never meant to be used casually.

Especially not in a spiritual realm created by a Sacred Totem.

The backlash began immediately.

CRACK!

Mo Fan's veins bulged violently across his arms and neck.

It felt as if molten iron had been poured directly into his bloodstream.

His bones trembled.

His muscles tore under the sudden surge of power.

Blood seeped from the corners of his mouth.

Krgh!!

Mo Fan nearly collapsed to one knee even inside the spiritual realm.

But he forced himself to remain standing.

If he lost control for even a moment, the Demon Element would consume him instead.

The Sacred Azure Dragon froze mid action.

Its massive body stiffened.

Even it could sense the chaotic demonic power erupting from Mo Fan's soul.

The Demon Element Pearl was not something ordinary.

It carried the legacy of the Sacred Evil God.

A power that even ancient beings treated with caution. The dragon slowly withdrew its beam. The attack against the Black Totem Snake vanished instantly.

Mo Fan's body trembled violently. The crimson aura flickered uncontrollably around him.

Even maintaining consciousness was becoming difficult.

Krgh!

The Sacred Azure Dragon froze mid-action, sensing its master's anger. Withdrawing its attack, it backed away obediently.

"Phew…"

Mo Fan exhaled heavily, his body trembling as the crimson aura slowly receded.

Suu...

He couldn't bear the thought of the Black Totem Snake dying today.

Mo Fan chose not to press the matter further with the Azure Dragon.

He understood, on some level, that it had acted out of an instinct to protect him, even if its intervention had almost obliterated the Black Totem Snake's soul in the process..

Turning to the motionless Black Totem Snake who started to return to how it was, He took a step closer, his expression conflicted.

The crimson aura surrounding Mo Fan faded, and the world returned to its azure hue.

Mo Fan turned to the Sacred Azure Dragon, his expression soft yet weary. "Little Loach, you can undo your powers now. Thank you for coming to save me."

The dragon nodded in understanding, its majestic form slowly dissipating as the azure-drenched world returned to reality.

"Ugh..." Mo Fan staggered and fell on his knees, his fatigue evident.

Using the Power of Sacred Evil God in his condition even for a moment exhausted all of his stamina instantly!!

...

The crimson aura receded.

But the damage had already been done.

Fine cracks spread across Mo Fan's skin like spiderwebs.

Blood dripped down his arm.

Even his soul felt torn.

Using the Demon Element inside a Sacred Totem spiritual realm had triggered a violent rejection.

Mo Fan swayed slightly.

His legs nearly gave out beneath him.

He still forced himself to remain standing.

He turned toward the motionless Black Totem Snake.

Even now, the creature remained frozen under the dragon's pressure.

Mo Fan took a step forward.

His body felt unbearably heavy.

Each movement felt like lifting a mountain.

The Demon Element backlash had already severely injured him.

But he still moved.

The crimson aura surrounding Mo Fan faded completely.

The world returned to its azure hue.

Its massive form began dissolving into light.

The azure drenched world slowly collapsed.

Reality returned.

Mo Fan staggered.

The moment the spiritual realm disappeared—

The backlash fully erupted.

"Ugh—!!"

His chest felt like it had been pierced by dozens of blades.

The Demon Element power violently rebounded through his body.

Several veins in his arms ruptured.

Blood spilled down his sleeve.

Mo Fan dropped to one knee.

His breathing became ragged.

His vision blurred.

Using the Demon Element Pearl had drained nearly everything.

Even his magic circuits felt burnt out.

If he had held it for even a few seconds longer…

His body might have collapsed completely.

…As the azure world dissolved completely, reality reasserted itself in a sudden rush.

The cool night breeze swept over the hill, rustling the leaves and brushing against Mo Fan's exhausted form.

A panicked shriek pierced the air. "Noooo!!" Tang Yue screamed, her eyes squeezed shut in terror.

She had no idea what had transpired in the Sacred Azure Dragon's realm; for her, time had flowed normally.

In her mind, the Black Totem Snake had lunged at Mo Fan mere moments ago.

The massive snake now lay still on the hillside, its immense body coiled loosely, its aura subdued.

Its golden eyes, once filled with aggression, now gazed at Mo Fan with an unusual softness—concern and caution intermingled.

Tang Yue's heart pounded as she hesitantly opened her eyes.

"Huh…?" she mumbled, looking around. The sight before her left her stunned.

The Black Totem Snake rested in one corner of the hill, while Mo Fan was on his knees some distance away, looking utterly drained.

It was as though they had both been plucked from one moment and placed in another, their positions and tensions inexplicably shifted.

"What just happened?" she asked, her voice trembling with confusion.

Mo Fan, visibly haggard, tried to push himself up on one knee.

His breath was ragged, his face pale, and his body visibly trembling from the exertion. Before he could stabilize, his strength gave out.

With a dull thud, he collapsed face-first onto the ground, unconscious.

"Mo Fan?!!" Tang Yue cried, rushing toward him. Her heart seized with fear as she dropped to her knees beside him, shaking his shoulders.

"Mo Fan! Wake up!" she pleaded, her voice thick with panic.

The Black Totem Snake shifted slightly, its massive frame looming in the background.

It let out a low, rumbling sound that echoed through the hillside—a noise that seemed more mournful than threatening.

Tang Yue ignored the snake entirely, her focus locked on Mo Fan. She pressed her ear to his chest.

Ba-thump.. Ba-thump...

She was relieved to find his heartbeat steady, albeit faint. "Thank God..." She heaved a sigh of relief and popped on the ground.
