Chapter 97 - Wolfie’s got some aura

Mo Fan continued to summon fireballs on his hands, which swept across the sky before turning into two meter explosions close to Dongfang Ming.

Dongfang Ming was wearing Magic Armor, which was obviously nothing cheap either. It helped to nullify the impact of many of the Fire Burst Ruptures.

Unfortunately, Mo Fan's firing rate was too high. The impact from the explosions gave Dongfang Ming no chance to focus on aligning his Star Patterns.

Dongfang Ming found himself in a rather awkward position. His speed at aligning Star Patterns was significantly faster than anyone else, and sometimes he could even cast an Intermediate Magic faster than someone casting a Basic Spell.

However, he was totally suppressed by Mo Fan. He had no chance of casting an Intermediate Spell, as every time the Star Patterns were about to be completed, his opponent would simply hurl another enhanced Fire Burst in his direction. The explosion would then dazzle his eyes and deafen his ears. Even his Armor could not hold out much longer.

Clenching his teeth, Dongfang Ming finally put his pride aside and quickly backed off a great distance away from Mo Fan.

With a thought, Dongfang Ming summoned his Wing Equipment.

It was a pair of blue wings, the feathers extremely obvious. With a beat, Dongfang Ming launched himself into the air.

Dongfang Ming had initially planned to fight Mo Fan head on, but he ended up being suppressed by his opponent with mere Basic Spells. He had no choice but to activate his Wing Equipment and abuse his advantage of moving in the sky to gain the upper hand of the battle.

Dongfang Ming was still aware of the situation. Once his Armor was broken, he no longer had a chance against Mo Fan.

A Fire Burst's firing range was limited after all. As long as Dongfang Ming was in the air, he could target Mo Fan by using his Fiery Fist like meteors.

The Wing Equipment was very expensive, but it indeed made Dongfang Ming extremely difficult to deal with.

"I admit that you have managed to suppress me with your little trick, but you are still no match for me!" Dongfang Ming was now twenty meters high in the sky.

"Do you think I'll let you fly away as you wish?" Mo Fan smiled.

The red Star Patterns stopped appearing.

They were replaced by a purple black Star Pattern already completed under Mo Fan's feet.

Lightning arcs began to flicker around him.

"Qianjun Thunderbolt: Yaksha!"

Mo Fan pointed his finger at Dongfang Ming.

A lightning arc swept across the sky directly at the flying man.

Thunderous clouds quickly gathered above Dongfang Ming.

Dongfang Ming immediately lost his composure when he saw the clouds.

Lightning... Lightning Element?

He clearly remembered that his opponent had used a Shadow Element Spell to dodge his attacks.

That meant Mo Fan cultivated Shadow and Fire.

So where did this Lightning Element come from?

"You're not the only one with an innate talent!" Mo Fan laughed.

The moment he finished speaking, the lightning struck.

The bolt tore across the night sky violently, leaving sparks trailing behind it. Halfway through the strike, the destructive energy split apart. The lightning formed into the shape of a massive claw. The purple black lightning claw grabbed Dongfang Ming mid air. He was struck before he could react. The lightning wrapped around his body.

If it were not for his Armor, he would have already turned into a scorched corpse.

The lightning blasted him straight out of the air.

He slammed into the ground like a pile of mud.

Dongfang Ming tried to rise.

But the lightning arcs continued crackling across his body, leaving him paralyzed.

"I don't think it has taken fifteen minutes?" Mo Fan grinned while looking down at him.

Dongfang Ming's face twisted with humiliation.

"I... I know who you are!" he said through clenched teeth.

"Who else would have Double Innate Elements? You're welcome to avenge yourself," Mo Fan said casually.

He did not even bother hiding his identity.

The Enforcement Union could easily check his identity in seconds anyway.

"You just wait!" Dongfang Ming's eyes burned with fury.

Mo Fan ignored him and quickly headed toward Tangyue.

Tangyue was fighting four enemies simultaneously.

Three Intermediate Magicians.

And one Razor Feathered Sparrow in the Advancing Period.

The three Magicians themselves were not the problem.

The Razor Feathered Sparrow was the troublesome one.

As Mo Fan arrived, Tangyue had already been forced to use her Deathstrike Magic Equipment.

The Razor Feathered Sparrow had suffered heavy damage.

But Tangyue was still under pressure.

The four Intermediate Magicians continuously attacked her with Intermediate Spells.

Tangyue had no defensive magic.

She could only evade with Fleeing Shadow.

"Miss Tangyue, don't come to me. I have no defensive Spells either. Try to distract those two, and I'll deal with the weakest one," Mo Fan said quietly.

He had already approached using Fleeing Shadow.

"Got it!"

Tangyue immediately changed direction.

Three thick Ice Locks suddenly shot toward her.

They were trying to crush her bones.

Tangyue quickly ran in the opposite direction.

She intentionally did not use Fleeing Shadow this time.

It was easier to keep the enemies' attention on her this way.

Tangyue and Mo Fan were both Shadow Element Magicians.

Their coordination was almost perfect.

Tangyue pretended to run into a dead end.

Meanwhile Mo Fan quietly moved through the tall grass toward Liu Yilin.

"She's almost done for. I've got her pinned with my Ice Lock!" Liu Yilin said excitedly.

"Don't hurt her. Her identity is rather special," Liu Zhongming warned.

"Don't worry, I'll control my spell. Brother, does this mean once we capture her I can officially become a member of the Magic Court?" Liu Yilin asked eagerly.

Liu Zhongming did not respond.

He was focusing on controlling his Earth Wave to stop Tangyue from escaping.

Suddenly an unfriendly voice appeared beside Liu Yilin.

"Liu Yilin... maybe I was being too soft on you."

"You're trying to hurt my woman again?"

Liu Yilin turned around instantly.

The face he saw was the one he hated most.

Mo Fan.

The same person who had humiliated him in school.

The one who defeated him in a single attack.

But before Liu Yilin could even become angry...

A chill ran down his spine.

How did this guy appear behind me?

"How did this guy appear behind me?"

Liu Yilin's scalp instantly went numb.

Mo Fan slowly walked out of the shadows behind him as if he had been standing there the entire time.

His eyes were calm.

Too calm.

The kind of calm that made Liu Yilin suddenly realize something was terribly wrong.

"You should have learned your lesson the first time," Mo Fan said.

Before Liu Yilin could react, purple lightning arcs had already begun flickering around Mo Fan's body.

The pressure from the Lightning Element immediately made Liu Yilin feel suffocated.

This wasn't the pressure of someone at the same level.

It felt like facing someone far above him.

"Qianjun Thunderbolt."

"Mad Dance."

Lightning exploded across the ground.

"RUMBLE!!!"

Several violent bolts instantly descended from the sky, slamming into Liu Yilin's position before he could even finish drawing his Star Pattern.

The lightning exploded outward like a storm.

Liu Yilin's Ice Lock shattered immediately.

His body was blasted across the ground.

His Armor flickered violently as cracks spread across it.

He tried to stand.

Another bolt of lightning struck down.

"BOOM!!!"

The ground beneath him exploded.

Liu Yilin's entire body convulsed as lightning crawled across his skin.

He couldn't even move his fingers.

Mo Fan hadn't even used Fiery Fist yet.

Tangyue noticed this from the distance.

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

Even she could tell.

Mo Fan was completely suppressing an Intermediate Mage without even trying.

It wasn't just power.

It was control.

Absolute control.

Even if Mo Fan was only at the peak of the Intermediate stage…

His combat power had already surpassed many Advanced Mages.

Meanwhile Liu Zhongming finally noticed what had happened.

"Liu Yilin!!"

He immediately tried to turn around.

But the moment he moved—

The temperature of the battlefield suddenly dropped.

A cold wind swept through the grass.

Tangyue stopped.

Even the Razor Feathered Sparrow hesitated in the air.

Then—

A low howl echoed across the field.

"Awoooooooo——"

Wolfie appeared.

The Star Snow Frost Wolf slowly walked out from the grass.

Its fur glowed with faint icy blue light.

Cold mist flowed around its body.

The moment it stepped forward—

Frost spread across the ground.

The surrounding grass froze instantly.

The Razor Feathered Sparrow in the sky suddenly trembled.

Its wings stiffened for a brief second.

Even though Wolfie was only a Warrior Level beast…

Something deeper stirred in the blood of the creatures nearby.

An ancient pressure.

A bloodline memory.

The Razor Feathered Sparrow let out an uneasy cry.

Even the three Intermediate Mages suddenly felt their hearts tighten.

Liu Zhongming felt it the most.

His Earth Wave suddenly became unstable.

His hands trembled.

What… was that?

Wolfie's icy pupils slowly lifted.

For a brief moment—

A faint phantom silhouette appeared behind it.

A massive snow wolf formed from glacial wind and polar storms.

Ancient.

Majestic.

Its aura pressed down like a mountain.

The surrounding creatures instinctively lowered their heads.

Even the Razor Feathered Sparrow subconsciously lost altitude.

Mo Fan glanced back at Wolfie and smirked.

"Looks like you've grown again."

Wolfie didn't move.

But frost continued spreading.

Then—

It vanished.

The Star Snow Frost Wolf burst forward like a streak of frozen light.

Its claws tore through the ground.

It appeared beside the Razor Feathered Sparrow in a single leap.

The beast tried to retreat.

Too late.

Wolfie's claws struck.

Ice spread instantly across the bird's wing.

The Razor Feathered Sparrow screamed as frost sealed half its feathers.

Tangyue watched the scene with surprise.

Even she hadn't expected this.

Mo Fan calmly stepped forward again.

Lightning flickered across his hand.

The remaining two Intermediate Mages suddenly realized something terrifying.

They weren't fighting Tangyue.

They were fighting Mo Fan.

And Mo Fan was the real monster here.

Mo Fan raised his hand.

Lightning gathered.

"Now…"

"Let's finish this."
