Maya felt dizzy and nauseous. It felt as though her body was on fire, pain radiating all over her. But in spite of the pain, there was a warm, soft feeling against her face and a familiar scent she couldn't quite recall in this state.
It felt as if she was moving at an alarming rate and she wanted to stop, but she was certain the warm feeling would go with it and she didn't want that.
But it did.
She wasn't moving anymore, and she was placed on something soft, but it didn't feel as soft as… what was it?
"It's not serious, Alpha," an unfamiliar voice was saying. "The wood didn't pierce her vein, and there aren't any broken bones. She should heal soon. If she had her wolf, she wouldn't need medical attention."
Who?
"And her head?" He queried.
"It was a heavy fall, but that should heal even faster. I only cleaned the wound, there isn't a need for bandages."
"But she hasn't woken—" he stopped speaking, and his expression darkened as he met her open eyes.
