"What just happened..?"
Disorientated, I looked around, properly analyzing where the sky had dumped me.
The landscape reminded me of blue mixed with shards of obsidian dotting the landscape here and there.
"What even is blue? Why do these random things keep causing my head to burn?!"
I stumbled forward, with my vision disoriented while quickly trying to find a proper place to sit. Unfortunately every rock littering the terrain were either too small or pointy enough to cause pain like my back did.
"WAIT? My back?!" My hands quickly flew to the familiar area but still hesitant after the first attempt.
"It's gone… the wounds gone?"
Patting it down again to fully ensure that it had in fact disappeared, my suspicions were confirmed.
"But how?!" I quickly recalled the pain I felt while plummeting and winced, torturously reminded by the pain. "Time stopping slowed down the pain and made it bearable, but I never realized it went away…"
Quietly thanking whatever had healed her and caused that pause in time she made her way to a crack she had found at a decent distance away.
"I need somewhere to regain my thoughts. Somewhere safe."
The moment she landed the air around her felt weird, disturbed. As if an incoming storm was coming, but she had sensed it approaching fast.
"What was that? Why are my instincts warning me.. no, yelling at me to get to that crevice?"
As she started her long walk she realized that the terrain was filled with countless crevices and many possible ways to die if one fell hard enough on the lethal rocks. Soon she arrived but the crevice was much higher than she assumed.
"Of course it's that high up!" She rolled her eyes then pulled her sleeves up to reduce the heat a bit.
"I'm starting to miss the cool sky."
Grumbling, she started her climb but was promptly interrupted by an unnaturally deep growl behind her.
"No, no, no please tell me that's my hunger…"
She turned her head around fast but turned it back forward even quicker.
"Oh Hell No!"
Catching only a glimpse was all she needed to speed up her climb by manyfolds, surprising even herself that her hands even knew how to climb with this proficiency.
"GrehhhhAhhhhh!!!"
And the sound of stomps that promptly crushed the ground told her that the monster had found her. Thankfully it was near the area she had landed, buying her precious time.
Recalling her brief sight she realized that the monster would have a horrible time trying to climb for its body was horribly inefficient for anything but killing with scythe like arms and 2 short hinds legs that seemed to be created for chasing down prey before quickly cleaving them into pieces.
"That doesn't help Hope!" She scolded herself. At that moment she realized at that she had just relearned her name.
The sudden impromptu knowledge caused her to pause as her head lit on fire yet again. However, that pause was all that was needed to make an error, for her hands, which firmly grasped the edge of the cliff now started fumbling as she lost grip on one of them.
