In the beginning, there was nothing. Nothing but the absolute void—the infinite Abyss. Yet this Void was not truly empty: it harbored an eternal being, without beginning or end, a being who refused to remain alone. And so, one day, this being reached out toward creation, seeking a companion for eternity.
From this will were born the Seraphim—beings of radiant beauty, whose light surpassed that of the stars. The first among them, Lucifer, was given the role of leader. The Seraphim were entrusted with watching over the universes that had been shaped, guardians of the divine balance.
Then, God created other angels, dividing Heaven into nine spheres, each governed by an angelic order embodying His will. Millennia passed, and a new universe came into being. Light was separated from darkness, water from land, the spiritual from the physical. And finally, God created Man: fragile, free, and endowed with the power to dominate all other creatures.
The angels beheld this miracle. All but one.
Lucifer refused to bow before what was called the image of God. Pride consumed him. He corrupted Man, fell into sin, and was cast out of the Garden. Yet God forgave humanity and prepared a path for their return. Enraged, Lucifer sought to sway the others:
"Why should we, pure and eternal, bow before flesh and dust?"
Doubt became rebellion. Rebellion became war. Lucifer fell first, dragging a third of Heaven with him. The First Celestial War began. Fire and light clashed. The heavens bled. The corpses of angels, twisted by Lucifer, gave birth to demons. Others who fell retained their form, but their light was extinguished. In this chaos, the Nephilim were born—forbidden offspring of angels and humans: monsters to some, wonders to others.
Three hundred and sixty-five years later, a miracle occurred: a mere human walked beside God and, in only ten years, became a Seraph—the most powerful ever known. He was named Metatron—"He Who Stands Near the Throne" and "He Who Traces the Path."
During the First Celestial War, Metatron exterminated the Nephilim, annihilated a quarter of the enemy forces, and reduced another quarter to ashes. Even Lucifer turned his gaze away that day, engraving the event into his memory for eternity.
Centuries later, evil rose again. The Second Celestial War erupted in the shadows, led by Samael, corrupter of thrones and manipulator of sacred laws. Lucifer and Samael created a living weapon: an angel beyond the nine angelic choirs, born to kill the Alpha Angel. But this weapon escaped their control. The angel descended, devouring angels and demons alike. He was called Apollyon.
And yet, even the darkest of hearts can be touched by light. A smile, an outstretched hand, a singular presence—Apollyon was given a name he would never forget.
Centuries passed. The angel returned to Hell, bending demonic armies beneath the sheer weight of his terror. Before Samael, he did not pray. Before the demon lords, he remained silent, reducing each to nothingness. And when the time came to face Lucifer, he spoke these simple, burning words:
"You created a weapon to kill an angel, forgetting that this very weapon could erase you as well."
Those words carved an unerasable scar into Lucifer's being—the memory of a near-death. And then, the angel vanished into the abyss.
Two wars nearly shattered the balance, and yet the divine order still stands.
And the story has only just begun.
