"Oh, right. There's something we need to pay attention to for now."
Uchiha Madara didn't respond. He simply looked at Is, waiting for him to continue.
"This world has its own rules. For the time being, it's best if we each mind our own business. Try to restrain yourself a bit," Is said.
It was true—given Madara's domineering nature, if a Celestial Dragon provoked him, he'd probably twist their head off and kick it like a ball.
After all, in his eyes, things like World Nobles, Celestial Dragons, or even the World Government meant nothing.
In this world, the only person he acknowledged was Aurelius D. Virel Is.
That said, while Madara was arrogant, he wasn't reckless.
He knew exactly what should and shouldn't be done.
"I'll follow your lead," Madara said calmly.
"Mm."
Is nodded and didn't say anything more.
He walked over to the wardrobe and opened it.
"Pick something and change. Your current outfit doesn't really fit this world. Once you're done, come downstairs."
After saying that, Is left first and waited on the first floor.
A short while later, Madara came down, now dressed in a black suit.
The moment he appeared, his unfamiliar face—combined with his naturally imposing aura—immediately put the maids on edge.
Their reaction was intense.
"M-Master, there's a thief!"
"Protect Master!"
"I'll contact the World Government immediately!"
In an instant, several maids rushed forward, standing in front of Is.
Despite their weakness, they didn't hesitate to shield him.
Roz Minian was stunned for a moment. Although she didn't fully understand what was happening, she still stepped forward and stood alongside them.
Madara turned his head slightly, scanning behind him.
There was no one else.
Then it hit him—
The "thief" they were talking about… was him.
"Hey. How long are you planning to stay silent?"
Is slowly stood up from the sofa.
To be honest, their actions made him feel a bit reassured—at least his treatment of them hadn't been in vain.
"Stand down. He's my friend."
"Ah…"
The maids turned to look at Is, their tense expressions finally easing.
One of them, who had already taken out a Den Den Mushi to contact the World Government, slowly lowered it.
Since Is had said it, they didn't question further and stepped aside.
Taking a closer look, Madara actually looked quite striking in the suit—there was a sharp, almost dangerous elegance to him.
"Fits you well," Is remarked.
Madara, however, didn't care much about appearances.
"Prepare a dinner banquet. Let's celebrate properly," Is instructed a nearby maid.
"Understood! I'll get started right away!"
Roz Minian took the initiative to handle it.
…
In the blink of an eye, two to three days passed.
Is's routine didn't change because of Madara's arrival.
During these three days, he hadn't left Mary Geoise at all.
However, his relationship with Madara had improved quite a bit. At the very least, they could now talk and even share a few smiles—no longer as stiff as before.
At noon—
Madara was lying on the sofa, quietly reading a newspaper—the only thing he had to pass the time.
"Let's go."
Is stood nearby, already dressed in the signature attire of a Celestial Dragon, bubble helmet included.
Madara tilted his head and looked at him.
"Where to?"
"Didn't you want to go outside?"
Hearing that, Madara immediately stood up.
"Finally leaving this place to see the outside world?"
"Mm."
"Is… your outfit really is something else," Madara commented while stretching.
Is shrugged helplessly.
"If I don't wear it when leaving Mary Geoise, those idle Celestial Dragons will come over and lecture me."
Indeed, all Celestial Dragons wore bubble helmets, believing themselves too noble to breathe the same air as ordinary people.
Is didn't personally mind it—but if others didn't wear one, they'd be lectured endlessly about "knowing their place" and similar nonsense.
To avoid unnecessary trouble, he simply went along with it.
"I didn't say it looked bad," Madara added.
"If you weren't smiling while saying that, I might've believed you."
…
A short while later, at the gates of Mary Geoise—
"What? Great Saint Aurelius D. Virel Is—you intend to go down alone?"
"Yes."
"For your safety, please allow me to accompany you. In case any ignorant lowlifes attempt to harm you," said a man in a black suit with a serious expression.
"I've already hired a bodyguard. From now on, you won't need to follow me," Is replied calmly.
Naturally, the "bodyguard" he referred to was Madara.
Of course, this was just an excuse to brush off the World Government agents.
To be honest, having them constantly trailing behind him was irritating.
Before, he didn't have a choice.
Now, he did.
"Great Saint Aurelius D. Virel Is—"
Before the man could finish, Is cut him off coldly.
"Are you telling me what to do?"
"N-No… of course not!"
"If you can defeat my bodyguard, I'll listen to you."
After saying that, Is sat down on a nearby chair.
The man in black turned to look at Madara.
Madara, on the other hand, remained completely indifferent.
"Come on. Hurry up. We're in a rush."
The man frowned slightly—then, in the next instant, he launched an attack.
Boom!
A cloud of dust rose into the air.
On the other side of it, Madara casually dusted off his hands as he walked side by side with Is out of the gate.
When the dust finally settled—
The man in black was revealed once more.
Only this time, his head was buried in the ground, the surrounding earth cracked in all directions.
