Chapter 1 - two body And a gacha

Humans have asked a lot of questions in their lifetime. From the moment they awaken in their short lives, it is all about asking questions. Why does this exist? Why is it like this? Why is it like that?

Question, question, and more questions.

Since the dawn of human civilization, we have asked questions, and for some, we have answers like 1 + 1 = 2, and Michael Jackson is the King of Pop. But there are still questions we don't have answers for.

And that is it what comes after death?

That is one of the most common questions people have about life. What happens after death? Do we fade away into nothingness, or do heaven or hell exist?

But that is a common question.

My friend once asked me a rather interesting one: could you date the female version of yourself?

And do you know what my answer was?

If you thought anything other than yes, then you are very wrong. After all, why pass up the opportunity to date the female version of yourself someone who knows everything about you instead of dating a random stranger? At least in the mundane world, you can't date yourself. After all, there isn't another version of as majestic as me… is there?

That's what I thought.

But in front of me, there was a woman with long black hair, black eyes, and a slender body, the same height as me, with a flat chest. She was looking at me, arms crossed. She had the same more feminine face, with a hint of excitement.

I looked at her.

She looked at me.

We both raised our right hands at the same time, and we both brought them down at the same time.

"Purple and black are the aura colours," we both said at the same time.

"Holy—this ability is awesome," we both muttered, looking at each other before hugging each other in happiness.

We pulled away from the hug at the same time.

Then we both froze.

Slowly, we took a step back—at the exact same moment.

"This is going to get weird, isn't it?" we said together, our voices perfectly in sync.

We stopped.

Silence.

Then we both burst out laughing.

"Okay, we seriously need to stop doing that," I said.

"I agree," she replied—half a second later this time, as if proving we weren't completely locked together.

I narrowed my eyes at her. She did the same.

"Are you… thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked.

"If it's about testing how far this 'connection' goes, then yes," she said with a grin.

The sense of connection we were talking about wasn't normal. It felt like we were one being different, but similar. Our thoughts aligned in a strange way, like if one of us died, the other could simply recreate the same person perfectly. One mind, two bodies type of deal.

"Good," I smiled. "Because this could either be the coolest thing ever…"

"...or the most annoying," she finished.

"So, do you want to roll, or should I do it for both of us?" I asked, looking at the machine in front of us as right now both of us were in the mind scale where we use our power of gache.

"I think you do one, and I'll do the next," she said, placing her hand on mine and wrapping her arms around my neck.

"Yeah, let's hope I get something good from this roll. After all, we're in the Marvel universe," I said as I began the roll.

I was never a gambler in my life. As my mother once said to me, gambling is for rich people who have a lot of money to waste.

But now, as I looked at the roll, sensing the connection between us and the thrill of existence, watching it spin, I realized this had a strange excitement to it.

"Oh, it's stopping," my female self said.

The roll slowed… and then stopped right in front of me.

[Tinker – Defence (II)]

Allows you to design, modify, and build technology and constructs related to defense and protection. At this level, you can create far more resistant and sturdy items, as well as specialized protective gear—fireproof (to a certain level) coatings, impact-resistant suits, EMP threading, bulletproof fabric, and more.

We both sighed in disappointment.

The feeling of all our points being wasted washed over me as I stared at the ability I had gotten.

"Man, it's not that bad," we both said at the same time, looking at our character sheet, which now read:

Name: Nagi sigma

Race: Humans (2)

Character Assimilation:

1-

2-

3-

Powers:

[Tinker – Defence (II)]

Equipment Items:

None

From the moment I woke up in this room, I knew three things.

First, I was in a different world one where Tony Stark existed.

Second, I had another version of myself… a female version.

And lastly, I had this gacha system, which allowed me to pull 30 times a month. I gained one point a day, which I could use to pull anything from across the multiverse.

Which meant… I still had 29 pulls left.

"So, it's your turn," I said, looking at my female self.

You might ask, "Nagi, how can you just accept all of this?"

And I'd answer, in the wise words of Sun Tzu: ". Fuck it, we ball."

After all, my theory is simple—I must have merged with another version of myself. One moment, I was eating a burger in New York, and the next, I was in this room, staring at a female version of me. Nothing else had changed. I still had my family, my average looks, everything was the same.

The only difference?

The world… and this gacha power I had now.

"Oh! Look, look, look!" the other Nagi said, pointing excitedly at the roll as it slowed down and landed on a golden result.

[Toji Fushiguro]

From the series Jujutsu Kaisen

"Ohhh, this is good," I said, quickly grabbing the card and assimilating it immediately. To think we could get something like this so early on… truly, the gacha gods were with us.

I glanced at Nagi, who stood there with her hands on her hips, a smug expression on her face.

"Truly, I am the best," she said proudly.

I just sighed.

Then I reached forward and rolled again.

This time, it shone red before stopping—and bam.

[Grandmaster Item Construction]

Legendary Skill You know how to create legendary, enchanted, and special items depending on your capabilities—such as knowledge, abilities, and skills. The artifacts you create are rated at the level of national treasures and items of legend.

"Ohh, see? Not so smug now, are you?" I said, looking at her.

She just shrugged like it didn't matter—and honestly, it didn't. We were the same being, after all. Our skills were shared between us.

"If we ever get Gilgamesh, we could have the Gate of Babylon and just spam items like a machine gun," she said excitedly.

Then she rolled again.

…And we got a plastic bottle.

"Huh," she muttered, as we both realized something at the same time.

We could get bad pulls too.

But that didn't stop us.

We kept pulling.

Ten rolls.

Twenty rolls.

Mostly trash—bad items, weak powers, or combination cards that were useless with our current stats. In the end, we were left with just six rolls.

"Alright… you get three, I get three," I muttered, staring at the rolling machine. My inventory was basically filled with garbage.

I took a breath… and used all three of my rolls at once.

[Movie Ticket] Allows the user to travel to any world they wish.

[The World] From JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

[Fasttrack]From Ben 10

"Oh… this is good," I muttered.

I immediately assimilated Fasttrack along with Toji Fushiguro. The combination boosted my speed massively. I still wouldn't be faster than Quicksilver, but I was getting close—fast enough to matter.

As for the Movie Ticket… I'd save that. It could be useful depending on what she got.

"Alright, my turn," she said, rolling all three at once like I did.

[Yuu Otosaka]From Charlotte

[Anime Ticket]Allows the user to travel to any anime world.

[ ken kaneki first Ghoul Mask] From Tokyo Ghoul

We both stared at her pulls.

Then we slowly turned to look at each other.

"…That's broken," we said at the same time before snapping out of our mental space and feeling the bed behind us.

She grinned.

I grinned back as we looked at the screen. Getting a stealing ability like this was completely overpowered—especially in a universe like Marvel. Powers showed up here like candy.

"Seriously," I said, looking at our system in front of us, "Yuu Otosaka? That gives us a lot of options for which anime or movie worlds we should jump to for powers."

"Yeah," she said, placing her hand on my chest before continuing, "if we play this right, we could stack abilities endlessly. We just need to go to world like One Punch Man to get powers from there. There are movies too, like The DC too."

"Yeah, but we need to go to a safe but powerful world with a variety of abilities first," I said, while playing with her hair. "No point jumping straight into something high-level like DC."

She hummed softly, clearly thinking.

"Alright," she said after a moment, "so we need a world that's not too dangerous… but still has useful powers we can take."

"Exactly," I nodded. "Somewhere with a lot of ability users, but not everyone is trying to kill us every five seconds."

We both went quiet.

"Hmm… we should check the timeline first, right?" I said, placing Yuu Otosaka into the assimilation slots, filling all three.

Toji covered strength and combat, Fasttrack handled speed, and Yuu… Yuu was for powers.

"Just check," she said. "I have a feeling this isn't something you're going to like."

She turned the screen toward me.

On it was an image of Reed Richards talking with Tony Stark.

"…Don't tell me," I said, my face turning serious as my female self-version continued to scroll.

 The more images we saw

The more names we saw.

more we realized

We weren't in the Marvel movie universe.

We were in the Marvel comics universe.
