"Is this Divine-Demon Physique?"

Ryu felt the changes in his body, overjoyed. He clearly felt an unprecedented power within him; his entire body became much lighter, and even his mind was much sharper.

"I've never felt this way before; it's amazing."

Karupin looked at the excited Ryu and pursed its lips.

Its recently replenished energy was exhausted again, but this time its activity space had increased by 1000 meters.

Ryu couldn't wait to check his information.

Ryu was somewhat surprised, not expecting his improvement to be so significant.

The Akutsu body was terrifyingly powerful.

And this was just his undeveloped body; Ryu could sense the limitless potential it contained.

"Alright, stop standing there like an idiot. The way people around you are looking at you is weird."

Reminded by Karupin, Ryu finally noticed the stares from those around him.

He realized he'd been standing there too long and quickly headed towards the teaching building.

...

Class D, Year 1—this was Ryu's class.

To Ryu's disappointment, the Generation of Miracles weren't in this class.

His appearance had caused many girls to scream and attracted hostility from many boys, but Ryu simply smiled indifferently. With his current Divine-Demon Physique body,

he wasn't afraid of anyone causing trouble.

Because it was the first day of school, the students didn't have many classes and were dismissed early.

The teachers only had the students briefly introduce themselves.

However, it was also the time for new members of various clubs to register.

Ryu, with Karupin, headed straight for the basketball club.

Teiko Middle School, Basketball Club.

When Ryu arrived, the place was already bustling with people.

Looking around, most were this year's freshmen, and a few were even classmates.

Ryu casually found a spot to stand.

After a while, a middle-aged man with a serious face and glasses walked over and said, "Due to the large number of new members this year, the testing venues are divided into three. Those whose names I call, please go to the corresponding venue. There will be staff there to take your tests."

As soon as he finished speaking, Ryu saw a group of people enter the gym.

His gaze fell on one of them—the senior he had a grudge against.

For some reason, Ryu had a bad feeling.

The other person seemed to have seen him too.

Seeing the playful smile on the other person's face, Ryu's premonition grew stronger.

Soon, roll call began.

After waiting for a long time, Ryu heard his name called.

"Shirogane Ryu, please proceed to the third gymnasium for the test."

Upon hearing his name, Ryu looked up and saw that it was that senior student calling his name.

Ryu frowned, sensing that the other person was up to something.

However, nothing happened at the moment, so he suppressed his unease.

When Ryu arrived at the third gymnasium, he frowned.

Aside from a few individuals, almost everyone there seemed to be under 170 centimeters tall, making his 177-centimeter height stand out conspicuously.

'Special treatment?' Ryu muttered to himself.

Oh well, the mission is complete anyway.

It was just a test.

With so many people around, he probably wouldn't dare go too far.

Even if a fight breaks out, with current physique, I'm not afraid of him.

Thinking this, Ryu relaxed.

Not long after, a group of people entered the gymnasium, including that senior student.

After everyone stood in line, the senior student stepped forward.

He glanced around, then casually looked at Ryu, a mischievous smile spreading across his face. "My name is Takahashi Kento. I'll be in charge of the testing in the third arena. Those whose names I call, come to the court for the test."

"Mida Mitsuki."

"Yes..."

"Kamikitaki Tomoya."

"Yes..."

"Tano Makoto."

"Yes..."

One name after another rang out, and Ryu waited patiently.

"Kuroko Tetsuya."

"Yes..."

Suddenly, Ryu heard a familiar name.

Looking up, he saw a thin boy with blue hair. With the Hyotei Eye's blessing, Kuroko's extremely low presence was useless.

Perfect, let's see your test results.

What Ryu saw next left him speechless.

He knew Kuroko had a poor physique, but this result was just too much… Kuroko's performance completely shattered his worldview.

If he hadn't watched Kuroko's Basketball and knew the reasons behind it, he wouldn't even know how to react.

How to put it! One word: terrible. Two words: very terrible. Three words: ridiculously terrible.

Ryu looked away from Kuroko; he simply couldn't bear to watch.

Even a beginner was better than Kuroko.

After Kuroko, Ryu stopped paying attention to the others' tests, because he knew they were just there to make up numbers.

Time passed, and soon all the new students in the gym had finished their tests, but he still hadn't heard his name called.

Ryu stepped forward and asked, "Senior, isn't it my turn to test yet?"

Takahashi Kento glanced at Ryu, then suddenly pretended to be busy and said, "Ah, student, you haven't been tested yet? I'm so sorry, I forgot about you. But I have something urgent to attend to right now. Could you please wait a moment?"

Ryu checked the time and said, "Senior, can't you finish the test first and then do what you need to do? Anyway, I'm the only one left."

"Sorry, sorry, it's very important. I'll have to ask you to wait a bit." Takahashi Kento's attitude annoyed Ryu, but since the other party was being "polite," he couldn't say anything.

"Okay! Senior, try to be as quick as possible."

A sly glint flashed in Takahashi Kento's eyes: "It'll be quick, don't worry."

Then he said to the other freshmen who had finished their tests, "Those of you who have finished can go to the first arena to wait for news."

After saying that, the freshmen all went to the first arena, leaving only Ryu waiting in the third arena.

Karupin then transmitted its voice to Ryu: "I have a feeling the other party has ill intentions."

Ryu rolled his eyes at it: "You're only just realizing that? Isn't it obvious?" Ryu thought for a moment and said, "That guy wouldn't be sending a bunch of people to teach me a lesson, would he?"

"What? Scared?"

Hearing Karupin's mocking tone, Ryu said, "Him? I'm not afraid of him no matter how many people he calls. I couldn't fight before, but now I have Divine-Demon Physique. If he dares to cause trouble, I'll teach them a lesson."

Hearing this, Karupin looked at Ryu with surprise: "Oh, pretty tough."

"Stop talking nonsense."

Afterwards, Ryu waited impatiently in the third arena.

At this moment, the arena doors opened, and Takahashi Kento and several boys wearing Teiko jerseys walked in. Seeing Ryu still there, Takahashi Kento paused for a moment, and the others also noticed him.

"Hey, who are you?"

"Outsiders aren't allowed on the basketball court, didn't you know?"

"Could he be a freshman this year?"

"Takahashi, aren't you in charge of testing the freshmen?"

Takahashi Kento's lips curled into a smile as he looked at Ryu with amusement. "So you haven't left yet!"

Ryu remained expressionless, coldly replying, "I thought you weren't coming back, senior. Looks like your situation is really urgent."

Takahashi Kento feigned innocence: "Oh dear, I got so busy I forgot about it."

Ryu didn't want to argue with him: "Senior, can we test now?"

"Test? Sorry, you don't meet our basketball club's requirements. Besides, we already have enough people in the basketball club, so I can only apologize."

Ryu didn't speak, just looked at him.

At this moment, the others who had come with Takahashi Kento seemed to understand something.

It seemed this freshman had a conflict with Takahashi, but it was none of their business, so there was no need to speak.

Ignoring Ryu's gaze, Takahashi Kento smiled disdainfully and said, "Junior, outsiders aren't allowed on the basketball court. Please leave."

Ryu gave Takahashi Kento a deep look, then stood up and slowly walked towards the exit of the court.

As he passed him, he said, "Takahashi-senpai, that jerk's name really suits you."

With that, Ryu walked out of the basketball court.

"Hahahaha…"

Hearing Ryu's words, the people around Takahashi burst into laughter.

Hearing the laughter, Takahashi Kento felt his face burning, as if he had been slapped in public.

He never expected Ryu to say that.

That damned freshman.

Takahashi Kento clenched his fists, watching Ryu's retreating figure and gritting his teeth inwardly.

Just you wait.

Hmph… As long as I'm here, you'll never get into the basketball club.
