Albert stepped forward towards Mirio, he kept his hands in his pockets.
"Aren't you arrogant." Mirio said as he moved his right foot forward.
"Why should a Honey Badger be afraid?" Albert grins ear to ear, he wants Mirio to make the first move.
"…" Mirio does not take the bait. He saw what Albert could do in the Sports Festival and even heard of him from Nejire. "If you are a Honey Badger than I will be a Poacher!!" Mirio dashed forward.
Albert stood still, his hands still in his pockets. The second Mirio was in range Albert drew his hands like a samurai would their blade.
Mirio didn't even look at Albert's quick strike. His gym clothes began to phase through his body.
"!" Albert immediately stopped and leapt back.
Mirio, however, sank through the ground with his cheeks a bit puffed up as he phased into the ground.
'Phasing! His clothes flopped off him as if he wasn't there!' Albert's mind came down to one conclusion.
"Intangibility!?"
Whoosh~
Albert just barely heard the sound of the air being pushed. He gazed down to see Mirio coming out from the ground under him with a punch.
Albert never fought someone with intangibility. He thought of several of ways to attack Mirio but they all would go through him. He needs more information.
So as the fists was still being thrown he simply braces himself for the impact.
"!" Mirio noticed that Albert wasn't gonna counter him. His fists turned intangible and phased through Albert, his whole body did, and he appeared behind Albert without hurting him. "Got you!" Mirio said cheekily as he phased through the ground.
"Tsk." Albert widened his stance, bent down, and jumped high into the ceiling grabbing the metal beams of the gym.
Mirio popped out for a second scanning the area to find Albert wasn't around before looking up to see Albert clinging to the ceiling.
"Oh, good idea." Mirio said as he puts on his pants. "So what about all of you?" He glanced at the rest of Class 1-A." he took a step forward and phased through the earth.
"His quirk is intangibility! He can phase through the earth!!" Albert shouted. "Watch your backs!!"
The class immediately got into pairs of two to watch one another's back, but it wasn't fast enough.
THUD!!
THUD!!
Mirio was a fast worker. Albert observed Mirio wherever he could, but he couldn't call out fast enough for the class to responded. So what he did was focus, he focused everything he can in studying Mirio.
Coming up next to Albert where Tsuyu and Sero with the purple one (Mineta) grabbing on Sero's leg.
"Albert you got a plan!" Sero asked as his tape wrapped around Albert's leg.
"He keeps popping around." Tsuyu said with her limbs attached to the ceiling, her eyes still on Albert.
"Y-you have a plan right to beat that naked bastard right!" The purple one said with a look of envy in his eyes as he watched the naked Mirio knock out his classmates.
"Hmm… mind putting two of your balls on the bottom of my feet?"
"What do you plan on doing?" Tsuyu asked.
"Making myself harder to see." Albert then made a sizable dent for Sero's to slip his tape through to not hold onto Albert's leg anymore.
"You know these will stick to you tightly right?" The purple one informed Albert of what he is asking.
"Exactly."
The purple one does as he is asked and once done Albert gives them one last piece of advice.
"Sorry for the dust." He lets go and falls to the ground.
Mirio having beaten everyone else of Class 1-A looks at Albert fall and moves in for the kill.
But the second Albert was nearing the ground he twisted his body and struck the ground with his fists.
BOOM-RUMBLE!!
The whole gym rumbled, and a massive amount of dust was knocked up. Albert immediately disappeared into the dust cloud.
Mirio popped out to see but his eyes only saw dust.
"Geh!" He couldn't take a breather.
'Did he figure it out!? I need to hold my breath to fully phase through the ground. It's a fine trade off to let me phase through anything but I need to breathe!'
He was so caught off from the dust that he didn't realize Albert was already on him.
Whoosh~
"Ah." Mirio saw Albert throwing a punch, it was very noticeable considering it made air current with how fast he threw it.
Mirio threw a fist turning his upper torso intangible in all but his fists. With what little air he got left he needed to get away.
THUD!!!
Albert's fist passed through Mirio while Mirio's struck Albert right in the nose. It felt like hitting a sharp rock.
"Agh!?" Mirio retracted his fist and tried to jump back but the moment he tried he felt his leg lock up. "?" He quickly looked down to see Albert's foot was stomped on top of his.
Without a moment to think he saw Albert's leg move followed by his own body.
Whoosh!!
It was blindly fast. Mirio felt his body lift from the air, his butt his the ground where he was then dragged onto his upper torso and then scrapping the very top of his head so that all he could see was the ground followed by dust and then the metal ceiling.
Mirio knew what was gonna happen, Albert was gonna slam him so hard into the ground he would lose consciousness. Mirio could have escaped. He trained his Quirk to such a level only thought is needed to activate it and escape Albert's vice grip… but he doesn't.
'I can't let my underclassman win!! I am sorry Sensei! I am sorry Albert!! But I must knock you down a peg for his own good!'
He knew Albert was very confident in his own strength as he should be but that will only make his fall all the more worse. So to save him from such a height he must bring him down early… what a terrible mistake this would be.
Magic circuits flowed through his body in a circuitry pattern encasing his whole body.
'Reinforcement!!'
"!"
For Albert he saw it only for the briefest of microseconds, but he saw blue circuitry cover Mirio's head.
'Magus!!'
CRASH!!!
All the dust was blown away leaving two people in the center of a sizable crater.
"FUUUUU!!!" Mirio took a quick breath and phased through the earth.
Albert remained still like a statue. Not a single one of his muscles moved as he gazed at what once was Mirio laying down. Then his mind raced with many possibilities and routes to take. The first thing he needed to is inform his partner.
'Mélusine, follow Mirio Togata. He is a magus. We need to investigate him in case he is a Master.'
America's greatest weapon finally caught the scent of one of the three last masters in the Grail War and eventually…
'Got it! I'll follow him no matter what!'
The second to last will be discovered. Albert extended his arms and fell on his back and shouted. He was no longer interested in this playful lessons from his seniors, instead he was interested in only one.
"I have lost!!" Albert couldn't go further, knowing Mirio was a magus he needed to know more about him.
He needed this fight to end for Mirio to return to his life for Mélusine to gather it all and deliver it to Albert on a silver platter. Then everything will accelerate.
The Grail War's conclusion is soon in the horizon.
