Chapter 186 - Going to a Prison

'Didn't I just use Resurrection once? Why is the skill on cooldown again?'

King checked the system interface while rapidly traversing through the dimensions.

Only then did he realize that his Resurrection skill, which originally had three charges, had entered a six-month cooldown period.

[The Stellar Power is at the annihilation level, the energy required for recovery is immense.]

King didn't press the matter further. 'That power is indeed formidable, but sooner or later, I will possess it too.'

A look of determination flashed in King's eyes. With the Talent Fusion System, nothing was impossible.

"Hmm? This aura is..."

King felt as if he had come into contact with a layer of film-like substance.

"Not good!"

An extremely dangerous sensation struck, and King dove into a portal.

Rumble!

Countless bolts of black lightning fell, submerging the spot where King had just been standing.

"Who is it? Who dares to trespass into my Sky Domain!!!"

Whoosh!

A massive figure emerged in the void, its terrifying aura sweeping across the area, but it found nothing.

"Did they escape? It looks like they crossed over from the Dragon Domain."

"Hmph! That trash Dragon King actually dares to covet my Sky Domain. Once I get stronger, I will definitely skin that smelly dragon alive and turn him into a scarf."

The Lord of Sky Domain snorted coldly, and his figure vanished.

'Now is not the time for a confrontation. I should find the location of the Brave Association here first.'

In the void, King cautiously avoided the other party. The pressure from this Lord of Sky Domain was even stronger than that of the Dragon King. However, he had already recovered his full strength by now, so he wouldn't be afraid if a fight actually broke out.

It was just that he still had a mission to complete, so he would let these Domain Lords act arrogant for a while longer.

...

In a bustling city, King naturally blended into the Sky Tribe members on the streets.

He had just used Mind Control to get a clear picture of the situation in the Sky Domain. Its basic structure was similar to the Dragon Domain, also ruled by a Church. However, over ninety percent of the population here belonged to the Sky Tribe. Of course, this was inseparable from the Lord of Sky Domain who governed this domain.

The Sky Tribe were originally from the Ape Tribe. Aside from a tail, their other physical characteristics were no different from humans, and they usually kept their tails hidden. This allowed King to blend in easily, without any sense of incongruity at all.

Like a thief, King leaned in and whispered into the ear of a member of the Sky Tribe.

"Hey, buddy. Braves are invincible."

"Aaaah!"

The Sky tribesman screamed upon hearing this and ran away with a terrified look in his eyes.

"Is that really necessary? Such a huge reaction."

"Hey, buddy. Braves are invincible."

As expected, any Sky tribesman who heard King's words fled in terror, afraid of being implicated by him.

In a short while, the entire street was cleared by King. He stood alone on the spot, scratching his head.

'Damn it, Kevin only left me one secret code before he left. Where am I supposed to find them?' King was somewhat helpless.

The mission issued by the system required him to assist the Brave Association in destroying ten Church strongholds. This indicated that the Brave Association was planning a major move, seemingly as retaliation against the Church's encirclement and suppression operations.

"Damn it, who has the guts? To actually dare cause trouble in the Sky Domain, don't you know this is my territory?"

Dozens of figures appeared, surrounding King in the center.

"They're not from the Church?" King was a bit surprised.

He had been thinking of drawing out people from the Church, so he could catch a few and interrogate them about the Brave Association's whereabouts.

"Hmpha Dealing with you doesn't require the lords of the Church to act. Are you the one who's been spouting wild words?" Doma looked at King with an unfriendly gaze.

The Lord of Sky Domain had always been thorough in exterminating heretics, so heretics rarely appeared within the domain.

The punishments for heretics here were extremely strict. Once discovered, they were certain to be executed. Furthermore, anyone related to them would be killed without mercy, based on the principle of rather killing the innocent than letting the guilty go. Therefore, basically no heretics dared to appear in public.

The Church in the Sky Domain also rarely showed itself. Most of the time, the Sky Tribe's patrol teams were responsible for public security.

"Yeah, Braves are invincible. Do you know where the Brave Association is?"

King didn't care at all. These few pieces of trash in front of him weren't even worth one of his moves.

"Presumptuous! Publicly spreading rumors—which side sent you as a spy?!" Doma was furious.

In his view, King was either a madman or looking for trouble on purpose. If the Brave Association members were all like him, they would have been wiped out long ago.

"Me? I'm a member of the Sky Tribe." King pointed to the tail behind him.

With the fifth-stage release of Autonomous Ultra Instinct, mimicking a member of the Sky Tribe was more than easy.

"Since you are a member of the Sky Tribe, spreading rumors to delude people cannot be forgiven lightly. Come, take him down!"

The patrol members stepped forward, handcuffed King, and led him all the way toward the prison.

King didn't resist, everything was going according to plan.

"Get in!"

"What did this one do?"

"As a member of the Sky Tribe, he spread heretical rumors and deluded people. Captain Doma ordered us to take him into custody."

"You've got quite the nerve. What's your name?"

A look of surprise appeared in the Warden's eyes. He didn't expect anyone to be so bold in the Sky Domain.

"Who are you?" King asked back with a look of arrogance.

"I am the Warden here. Any Sky tribesman who enters this place will lose a layer of skin even if they don't die. It all depends on you."

The Warden's gaze hinted clearly that he wanted some benefits.

"Is that so? What a coincidence. I have a nickname you might have heard of."

"What nickname?" The Warden was very curious.

"Since I've loved prison roleplay since I was a kid, my tribesmen all call me 'The Warden's Daddy'." King smiled slightly.

The Warden's face instantly turned red with rage. "If I don't skin you alive, I'll take your last name."

Just as the Warden was about to apply heavy torture, a subordinate ran in and whispered something in his ear.

"Hmph! Consider yourself lucky. I'll slowly digest you when I get back."

"Weren't you acting tough? Lock him up with those death-row prisoners and see how long he can last." A cruel smile appeared at the corners of the Warden's lips.

Those locked up here were basically the most heinous criminals. Not only were they powerful, but their methods were also extremely cruel. A prisoner like King would basically be crippled upon entering.

"Go in and enjoy yourself. I hope you're still alive the next time we meet."

Several jailers opened the restriction, threw King into a cell, and then turned to leave.

"Tsk tsk. Another newcomer has been sent in. Just as the last one was played to death."

"Don't fight me for him, it's my turn for this one. I hope he can last a bit longer."

In the pitch-black cell, several auras swept over.

The corners of King's lips curled up slightly. "One of you better be able to provide the information I want."
