Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: First Meeting

The four of them stayed out overnight, and it wasn't until the next day that they returned to Tokyo Jujutsu High, bickering and fooling around, only to find Yaga standing at the entrance to greet them with a face so dark it looked like it could drip ink.

Seeing this, the four of them couldn't help but feel nervous, looking at each other to see if anyone had done something to anger Yaga again.

"You lot, classroom, now!" Yaga said in a deep voice.

Arriving in the classroom, they sat before Yaga, not daring to let out a breath.

"One of you not only blew the target location to smithereens without even setting up a curtain, I hope whoever it was will step forward. Furthermore, someone not only failed to notify the Assistant Supervisor to contact the relevant departments to clean up the site after the mission, but also completely forgot about the Assistant Supervisor, leaving them waiting for an entire night. They were almost about to contact the higher-ups to call for backup. Whoever that is, please step forward as well!"

Listening to Yaga's gloomy words, the four remained silent. Suddenly, Genji, Satoru Gojo, and Suguru Geto exchanged glances, and immediately after, Genji raised his hand.

"Teacher, I know who it is."

"Oh?"

"It's Satoru; he did it all! (.. • ˘ _ ˘ •..)"

"That's right, it was all Satoru's doing," Geto added, raising his hand right after.

Shoko also quietly raised her hand and pointed at Satoru Gojo.

"That's right, it was all me—wait, no, you guys!" Satoru Gojo widened his eyes, looking in disbelief at his best friends who had betrayed him and made him the scapegoat.

"So it really was you, Satoru."

"Wait, Teacher, they are lyi—" Before Satoru Gojo could finish, Yaga's iron fist of discipline landed on his head.

On the playground, Satoru Gojo held his head, looking at the others with resentment.

"You guys are too much."

"Yeah, Genji, Shoko, how could you do that to Satoru?" Geto stood to the side, speaking with righteous indignation.

"Cut the act, Geto. You were having a great time shifting the blame just a moment ago." Watching the people in front of him shirking responsibility, Satoru Gojo was furious. It was clearly something they all did together, and some parts didn't even involve him, yet he was the only one being punished.

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got, so Satoru Gojo simply started a fight.

"You guys, don't move. Let me hit each of you with a Blue, and we'll call it even."

"As if!" The other two naturally wouldn't just stand there and take a beating, so they started to counterattack, while Shoko distanced herself from the scene immediately.

"You lot, do you want to demolish the school again!" Yaga ran over from a distance, trying to prevent the third reconstruction of Tokyo Jujutsu High this month, but looking at the young people, he couldn't help but recall their first meeting.

April 2005, Entrance of Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Masamichi Yaga stood at the main gate, preparing to welcome the new first-year students, but his heart was far from as calm as he appeared. Yaga glanced at the student files again: a natural Reversal technique user, a Cursed Spirit Manipulation user with Limitless growth potential, the Limitless and Six Eyes prodigy of the Gojo Family, and a Destruction Forbidden Technique user who had managed to repel a Special Grade 1 only a few years after awakening their Forbidden Technique.

"Can I really keep students like this in check?"

Just as Yaga was lost in thought, a Bentley stopped in front of him, and a white-haired young man wearing sunglasses stepped out of the car.

"You must be Satoru Gojo. I am your homeroom teacher, Masamichi Yaga."

Just as Satoru Gojo was about to say something, he noticed two figures walking from the distance.

A dozen minutes earlier, about 1 kilometer away from Tokyo Jujutsu High, Genji was repeatedly looking at the map.

"If I had known, I should have just let Teacher Yaga bring me here yesterday. Besides, why does Tokyo Jujutsu High have to be built in this deep mountain forest? Now I don't even know which way to go."

Genji looked at the monotonous scenery of trees all around and let out a sound of despair.

"Um, are you also a student at Tokyo Jujutsu High?"

Just when Genji didn't know which way to go, a crisp voice sounded beside him. Genji turned to look and saw a girl standing behind him, holding the same map as the one in his hand.

Genji looked at the girl in front of him: about 1.6 meters tall, with short brown hair, a beautiful face, and a tear mole at the corner of her eye. Under the sunlight from behind, she appeared even more tranquil.

"Um, did I guess wrong?" Seeing the boy in front of her staring at her without speaking, Shoko couldn't help but ask.

"Oh, sorry, I was spacing out."

Coming back to his senses and realizing that staring at a girl like that was relatively impolite, Genji quickly said.

"I'm a first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High this year, just a bit lost."

"That's perfect, let's go together; I know the way. By the way, my name is Shoko Ieiri, what's yours?"

"Genji."

"Oh."

Hearing this name, Shoko couldn't help but say, "Are you that genius who defeated a Special Grade 1 just a few years after awakening your Forbidden Technique?"

Listening to Shoko's words, Genji smiled helplessly. "To what extent has this story been twisted by now? Besides, although I did win back then, I didn't actually successfully exorcise that Cursed Spirit. And I didn't have a good time either; I was quite badly injured and almost didn't make it."

Just as the two were walking and talking, they finally saw the gate of Tokyo Jujutsu High, as well as the burly man and the white-haired youth standing at the gate.

"Sorry, Teacher Yaga, we're late. We got lost on the way."

"It's alright, now there's only one student left who hasn't arrived..."

Before Masamichi Yaga could finish speaking, he was interrupted by Satoru Gojo.

"Are you two my future classmates?"

Shoko and Genji exchanged a glance, then stated their names.

"Shoko Ieiri."

"Genji."

Upon hearing this, Satoru Gojo lowered his sunglasses and looked at the two with his Six Eyes again. Clearly, even the prodigy of the Gojo Family had heard of the natural Reversal technique user and the tough guy who had repelled a Special Grade 1 at the age of 7.

Satoru Gojo looked at Shoko.

"You actually fit my imagination quite well, but you..."

He immediately turned his gaze to Genji.

"Neither your looks nor your name seem very masculine."

Upon hearing this, Genji, who had been maintaining a smile, couldn't quite keep it on his face, and a vein popped on his forehead.

"You really are a strange one, you prematurely aged white-hair."

Genji responded with a stiff, insincere smile.

Just as the group was having a "friendly" conversation, they were suddenly shrouded in shadow. Looking up, they saw a giant flying Cursed Spirit hovering over them.

"To think a Cursed Spirit would be so arrogant even at Tokyo Jujutsu High."

Satoru Gojo said, condensing a Blue in his hand, and fired it at the Cursed Spirit.

"Stop, that should be..."

Before Yaga could stop Satoru Gojo, the Cursed Spirit was swept into the Blue and destroyed. At the same time, a black-haired youth fell down, landing right on top of Satoru Gojo and pinning him underneath.

"What's going on? Enemy attack? At the Tokyo Jujutsu High base?" The black-haired youth clearly hadn't reacted yet.

"No enemies, just an overreacting idiot. By the way, we are all your future classmates, including that white-hair underneath you. My name is Genji, this is our classmate, Shoko Ieiri, the one under you is named Satoru Gojo, and the one next to me is our teacher, Masamichi Yaga."

Genji said to the black-haired youth.

"Oh, oh, hello Teacher, hello everyone. My name is Suguru Geto. Wait, underneath me?" Suguru Geto had just realized he was still pinning someone under him.

"You weird-bangs fox-man, get off me right now!"

Satoru Gojo shouted from under Suguru Geto.

"Ah, sorry, I'm getting up right away. Wait, were you the one who just shot down my Cursed Spirit?" Suguru Geto finally realized. "That was my only flying Cursed Spirit for carrying passengers!" Suguru Geto shouted at Satoru Gojo beneath him, heartbroken.

And just like that, the strongest quartet of Tokyo Jujutsu High met in a peaceful atmosphere.
