Chapter 9 - NO MORE SECRETS

JAY'S POV

I woke up with a heavy feeling in my head, as if someone had placed a huge weight on it. For a moment, I couldn't even recognize where I was.

Then everything came rushing back.

King's Ground.

Angelo and Keifer.

Cris.

My past.

My stepfather.

Section E.

The plan and the bets.

Percy.

The Fernandez house.

And the New Jay Jay mission.

Every memory flooded my mind.

For a while, I didn't move. I just lay there, replaying everything that had happened yesterday.

After a few minutes, I finally snapped back to reality and got out of bed.

I went to freshen up, changed my clothes, and walked into the living room.

CCTV was already sitting on the couch, working on his laptop.

"Good morning, CCTV," I said.

"Good morning, Barracuda," Cris replied.

"Don't call me that."

"Then don't call me CCTV."

"Fine. I won't."

"Okay. Then I won't either."

"Leave that. I'm hungry."

"Breakfast is ready. It's on the kitchen counter. Eat first—then we have a lot to discuss."

"Okay."

After finishing breakfast, I went back and sat beside him.

"Alright," Cris said. "Let's start with the Watsons."

"Sure."

"The Watson family has a very prestigious and rich background. They even their own Watson bank with an unbelievable amount of money."

He paused before continuing.

"The real owner of all that wealth was Keifer's great-grandfather. In his will, he clearly stated that all the Watson money and the CEO position of Watson Enterprises would go to the firstborn son of Keizer Watson—which means Keifer's father."

"The Watson family is greedy. They all want that money. That's why they don't want Keifer to inherit it. They know he won't let them touch a single penny once he takes control."

"So they're looking for his weakness… someone they can use as leverage against him."

"That's me," I said quietly. "Because he loves me."

"Yes," Cris nodded. "That's why he chose to push you away. He doesn't want to drag you into his mess. His cousin, Clyde Watson, has already found out about you. He even tried to blackmail Keifer once."

"They're also searching for the firstborn son of Keizer Watson, because he had many affairs before his marriage. But that part isn't your concern. That's Keifer's problem to solve."

I stayed silent for a moment before speaking again.

"He really thinks he's strong," I said softly. "He's trying to protect me, his brothers, and his inheritance all at the same time."

I took a deep breath.

"I'll do what he wants. I'll leave him… for now. Because right now, his priority should be his brothers and his inheritance—not me."

"But Kuya, make sure he stays safe. I know him. He'll place twenty bodyguards around his brothers but not even one around himself. Make sure no one can hurt him."

"As you wish, Jay," Cris replied. "I'll place highly trained bodyguards around him. He won't even know they're there."

He looked at me carefully.

"So… will you forgive him?"

"I will," I said. "But not now. And not easily."

"What he did was unfair. He had no right to play with my feelings like that. I'll make him realize his mistake first. Only then will I forgive him."

I looked down.

"Because at the end of the day… I still love him."

"And he loves you," Cris said softly.

"Of course," he added. "It's your choice."

"Now let's talk about your past. Tell me what you remember."

"Until I was seven, I lived with Mama and her husbands," I said slowly. "I don't remember much. My memories are just pieces."

"Then one day I woke up in a room surrounded by everyone—Aries, Grandma, Tita, and Angelo. I asked them what happened, but they never told me."

"After that, I started living with Grandma. Six years later, she left me at the Fernandez house. From that day on, I lived with them and started studying at Holy Saints."

"One day, Aries's father kidnapped both of us. I don't remember what happened after that. When I woke up, I was in a hospital."

"After that incident, Aries started treating me coldly. He distanced himself from me. I never understood why he hated me."

"I thought maybe I hurt his father… or him… during my blood trauma. I tried asking him many times, but he never told me anything."

Cris listened carefully before speaking.

"Your grandmother took you away from your mother because they discovered that her husbands were torturing you."

My body stiffened.

"One day, one of them brutally tried to abuse you. When your family found you, you were covered in blood… and your back had been burned."

"You remember the scar , right?"

I nodded slowly.

"But sending you to the Fernandez family wasn't random," he continued. "It happened because of another incident. I'm still investigating it. I haven't found anything yet—but I will soon."

"You just need to be patient."

"I trust you, Kuya."

"And about your father," he continued, "he chose not to meet you because of your mother's decision. She threatened him and fought for your custody."

"He respected her decision, so he stayed away."

I clenched my fists.

"Why did she even fight for it?" I asked bitterly. "In the end, all I got was pain… a ruined childhood… and blood trauma."

"And even now, she doesn't want me to meet him."

Cris stayed silent, letting me speak.

"But it doesn't matter anymore," I said finally.

"I'm not related to her anymore. So I don't need to follow her decisions."

"I'll meet him. No matter what."

"You will," Cris said. "But you need to wait. Your life is still in danger. If you meet him now, you'll be risking his life too."

I frowned.

"Is there someone else besides the Watsons who wants me dead?"

"Yes," he replied.

"Three people."

"Sato. Jason. And Ram."

"I know Ram," I said. "But who are Sato and Jason?"

"Sato is your fiancé's old enemy," Cris explained.

"And Jason… is one of your old enemies. You might not remember, but you beat him half to death during one of your blood-trauma episodes."

"Just like I did with Cyrus and Ram," I muttered.

"Don't blame yourself," Cris said firmly. "Jason was an asshole. He constantly picked fights with you—and he even tried to rape girls. That's why you beat him."

"But when you saw blood, you lost control."

"Which means he deserved it," I said coldly. "I have no regrets."

"Good," Cris nodded. "That's all for now. I'll update you when I find more information."

He leaned back.

"So… what about Section E?"

My expression darkened.

"I don't even want to see those snakes again."

"I treated them like family. And what did they do? They played with me. They bet on me. They bet on my body."

"They're worse than Keifer in this matter. At least he had a reason."

"They should have told me the truth."

"But instead… they enjoyed watching me get played."

"I'm not planning to forgive them."

"Even if they apologize."

Cris sighed.

"That's your choice. But take my advice—don't become too cruel. If they truly realize their mistake… try to forgive them."

"I'll see," I said with an annoyed tone.

"Fine," he replied.

"But for now… you still have something to do."

"What?" I asked.
