(Teikรต's Perspective)

I woke up in the middle of the living room this time, feet glued to the floor, as I was stood up, looking forward.

And there he was. My Father.

Looking at me with a wrinkled, tired face.

"You were doing it again."

"Oh....is that so. I'm sorry."

I've been sleep walking for a few days, not everyday, but daily. But every time it happens, I always have the same dream, of that place.

That beautiful place.

Morning struck.

I could feel the wind slapping my feet that were outside the blanket.

I could feel the wind, but was too tired to move, but that suddenly changed.

I was awoken again by the same person in a span of 8 hours, my Father.

I was still sleepy, but my whole body jolted when my Father with a panicked face and a shaky voice disclosed to me.

"Were late."

I flew out of bed and got myself together right away.

Skipping one hour and a half or so. We got there.

My sister's tournament.

It's a yearly combat tournament, from villages or cities nearby, to give the youth an opportunity to compete and demonstrate their overall strength and power.

My father, as the strongest and most powerful man from our village, Ironshill, he wanted his daughter to attend the tournament this year.

She obviously agreed, sheยดs been longing for this for generations.

We got to the tournament on time, we still had to wait 30 minutes or so to see my sister compete.

When it finally was her time, she was fully prepared.

Her opponent was really, really arrogant, as if he already won before any of them had even taken a step.

Supposedly, his father lost to our Father, so he wants to "avenge" his father by winning against my sister. Which doesn't even make sense, since my Father and my sister are in completely different levels in power and strength.

"I've been waiting for this, for a long, long time y'know?"

"Uh....who are you?" My sister was clueless.

The referee was about start the fight.

"In 3.....2....1. Begin!"

As my sister's opponent ejected himself to the air as light as a feather, while his fiery hair blew with the wind.

He was about to unleash some kind of attack, a powerful one, right from the beginning, as he shouts with a tone full of grudge:

"Get wrecked!"

My sister looked kinda disappointed, as if she was expecting more from him.

She unleashed her flare.

Opened her glowing wings of wildfire.

Her opponent felt an urge of incitement crawling through his neck to the end of his hair strands that were made out of fire.

As he was about to make an impact with his fist onto her, she had cast lots of her "fire arrows" from her wings to his direction. Which struck every fragment of his body.

And just like that, she won.

She made it to first place, as our father celebrated her victory from a distance.

"That's my girl!"

He was so loud that everyone in the crowd went silent and looked at him. He felt the embarrassment flowing through his body.

"I'm sorry..." he muttered as he had his eyes locked down to the chair.

Fast forward a little bit, we were all walking back home, I was still thinking about the dream, it felt like I've been there before, even tho I know that that's not true, but for some reason I was still lost in my own thoughts while taking every step home.

"You alright?" My sister Hana questioned.

"Yeah of course."

"....."

"Don't worry, us humans are evolving everyday, i'm sure that we are almost at the corner where we'll have medicines or something to create fire unnaturally. When the time comes, I'll make sure you're the first on the list."

She gave a hopeful smile.

I just agreed. But I know the truth, I've had that hope for 15 years, and that hope just bred delusion.

And delusion breeds.....

Night time, today's dinner is a special one, it's a gathering of the whole village, to celebrate Hana's victory, as Hana, and as the daughter of the Man of Iron.

Yet, I was still thinking about it, the dream. Because this time, I got closer to ๐˜ช๐˜ต than ever before, and i'm a really curious kid, I can't let stuff go just like that, specially if it's been tempting me for a while.

I felt someone's hand on my shoulder, it felt soft, but I didn't even realize the hand on my shoulder until I heard their voice.

"Teikรต?" It was my Mother.

"You've been really quiet today, is everything alright?"

"Yeah, i'm sorry, I'm just a bit tired that's all."

"...."

"I love you."

I was confused.

Why would my Mother just say that out of nowhere. Yes, she is really caring, but still, it left me feeling a deep hole in my chest, a feeling impossible to explain, and as if something wanted to break out of my throat.

We got alarmed by a clink. It was my Father with a metal spoon and a glass with wine.

He wanted to announce something it seemed like. So, he gathered everyone around the dinner table.

"Today, my daughter Hana won the tournament, the whole tournament! I just wanted to tell you, how grateful I am for you, and how proud I am, you've gotten stronger throughout the years, and it won't stop here. And my son, Teikรต. Don't worry, your time will come. The Goddess of 7 Colors has a plan for you, I believe that that time is almost here, don't you worry. You two will surpass me and everyone from the entire planet. I believe that, don't lose hope. So, all of us, let's raise a glass for my wonderful children, today is the beginning of a new era."

My Father gave me a glass of wine too, he didn't really care if I was only 15, he wanted to include me into something, and this was his way of doing so, i'm not complaining.

"Take a sip Son, it's tradition!"

As I took a sip of the bloody red wine in that glass my Father gave me, I started choking on it as it was still flowing into my mouth.

"It tastes so sour, and weird!"

My Father started laughing hysterically, which made the others laugh.

"Can I drink the rest of his glass, Dad? Hehehe..." My sister asked with a chary face.

"No no. You have your own glass, lady."

Everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves.

Before I could even realize, I was laughing alongside them.

Next morning came fast, it was a balmy morning. I was boiling.

I kept rolling from side to side, blankets barely hanging onto the bed, but the heat wouldn't go away, I got so irritated that I got up, even tho I was drowsy, I could feel each sweat drop from every portion of my body.

I was gonna go wash my face, but on the way there, I saw my Mother, fully clothed to go outside, with her bag, in the living room, where the sun rays struck her face through the curtains.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going shopping, want to come?"

She had another genuine, soft smile on her face looking at me, as if I wasn't glowing and exhausted.

I still went with her.

She didn't even break a sweat the whole journey, maybe it was because I was carrying all the bags, while she looked at her surroundings with that same expression she always has.

She always tries to avoid the negative parts of everything, that's why even if I'm sad, or Father is tired, or sister is angry, she always smiles at us as if she can't see the grimaces on our faces. People might see that as ignorant, but I admire that of her. She probably is the happiest at home because of that, which none of us can do. It makes her unique.

But from one instant to another, I heard a noise crawling our way.

Fear creeped in quickly, for no reason, I've always been a frightened kid since a young age.

But as I looked to my right, all the fear I had inside faded away like the wind.

It was a fox.

It seemed like a young one. I wanted to go pat it, but it was terrified of me, of us. So we kept walking. But it was nice to see a fox, their my favorite animal! I rarely see them, so that lifted my spirits.

But those same spirits perished to an unknown place.

I saw him.

He was with his friends, I could see him from far away just like an eagle fixated on it's prey.

Franz.

He made my life a living hell, but one day, he just stopped coming to school.

It was the best day of my life. So to see him here, out of all places.

I instantly put my hand on my right rib. Holding it firm, with brute force.

I could feel every hair on my body rise like a plant in blistering speed. The heat I was feeling should've drop and the fresh cold would've instantly emerge. But that's not what happened, the heat grew even hotter, it felt like I was burning alive. You wouldn't even notice, even tho I was on fire, my body stayed still as if I was frozen.

But the ice I was preserved in was broken by a soft hand on my shoulder. It was my Mother, running to my salvation once again.

My nails were about to penetrate the skin on my rib, until Mother put her hand on me.

"Let's go."

As she smiled once again. I just wanted to let my eyes water the floor with my tears, in that moment, I probably could water an entire tree.

A giant tree.

I finally got home, went straight into my room.

I didn't know how to distract myself, so I just started drawing on my note book.

After a little bit of sketching, I didn't know how I was gonna draw a part of it, because it isn't something physical, more like a feeling, I don't know.

"Hm...."

I kept thinking.

"Hmmm...."

And thinking.

"HMMMMMM....."

And I gave up. I just mashed the drawing into one ugly ball.

When I was about to put the ball of paper in the trash bin, I felt something, I thought that I was about to have a heart attack, it felt like it was pounding, but with each pound, I felt an intense heat run across every vein on my body, to the tip of each limb.

Then it hit me. What if....

I pressed my face with my two hands as if my head was a football.

"Is this...."

I bolted straight from my room to where my dad was.

He was helping a friend of his with some wood, after a bit of running and barging into someone along the way, I finally got there.

"Father! I think it's happening!"

"Really!"

"Yes!"

I was surprised that my Father understood right away what I was talking about.

"Are you sure tho?"

"Yes yes. I feel my whole body fired up!"

"Hm..."

My Father's face went from happiness to doubt in an instant.

"What's wrong, Father?"

"...."

"Look, look! I'll prove it to you!"

I thought that their might be a chance that my power would be the same or similar to my Father's, so I started just throwing hands to the air and sides, I even pointed my fist to my Father because I know that he wouldn't get hurt if my power just burst out.

"Maybe my power is just something else, and I just don't know how to use it." I said with such excitement.

"....."

"Son."

"What?"

"I don't think that it has come."

"....What do you mean, Father?"

"Us family, we can feel when our own blood awaken their flame, because we share the same blood, there's a connection, even from far away we can feel it, there's a chain reaction. I can't feel nothing coming from you, probably no one can."

".....huh?"

"I'm sorry...."

"But...I felt it."

"It's probably just a fever, you should go rest."

"A fever huh...is that so...maybe I should go rest and think about another path to take, right?"

"..." He stayed silent.

I was just being sarcastic. My whole life, I've been sarcastic.

The only thing I've never been sarcastic about before, was about being like my Father, surpassing him.

"...."

"Huh....do you actually think....no...you yesterday were talking about how I just needed to wait a little longer and to not lose hope. What is this?"

"We need to talk-"

"Talk? You were lying weren't you? You literally lied in front of everyone. Just to look good? To look like a caring father who treats his burden son the same as his daughter? Really? Why not be honest with me. I hate when people lie to me. And now it's you. It's you lying."

Like I said, hope breeds delusion.

"You made me look like a delusional freak all these years it seems like." As I gave a little chuckle of disappointment.

"Tei-"

He couldn't even finish pronouncing my name, I dashed away.

As I was walking back home, through an open, wide terrain with multiple houses, with small circles of salt flowing to my cheeks, to the dry ground, I heard loud screeches from afar, even tho I was a bit scared, I felt like I had to go see what was making that horrible noise.

So I did.

What I saw left me speechless.

It was some friends of Franz kicking a fox. It was the same size of the one I saw earlier, what if, it's the same one.

My body got hotter once again, but this time, even my eyes felt hot, like hell was located inside of my brain.

I ran in their direction, yelling from the top of my lungs.

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!!"

When they saw me, they ran away instantly, not because I was running at them, but because i'm the son of the Man of Iron, how funny is that.

I was trying to grab the fox to take him somewhere safe, but he gave me a warning bark. Which made sense, once one breaks your trust, none can be trusted.

So the fox just ran, but limping the whole way.

That ruined even more my day, so I just sat there, on the hard soil, crying.

Until someone put their hand on my shoulder, it was a soft hand again, so my mom was behind me.

I looked behind.

My family and some friends of my father and Mother were having dinner.

"Where's Teikรต?" My Mother questioned.

"Leave him be, he needs some time alone."

My Mother wore a sad face this time around.

After a few minutes, everyone was enjoying dinner, while my father replayed what happened earlier in his head multiple times.

He replayed it, and replayed, and replayed. Until....

For a weird reason, my father felt something.

Something behind him.

He looked behind himself.

There was a door, nothing inside expect darkness filling the room, yet, my father was compelled by the door. As if he knew what was behind it.

So he got up, went inside, and closed the door behind him.

While all that was happening, I was in a nearby cabin of some sorts. I was sat on the floor, knees onto my face.

I wept.

For a long time.

"father.....why?.....why me?" father.....i'm not prepared....I want to be like you.....please, help me...someone...I don't want this life....."

I couldn't take it anymore.

I was tired of feeling this way.

Being this way.

One of my Mother's friends went outside to catch a bit of a breeze, and to smoke one out.

After the fresh wind brushed across her face for bit.

She heard something.

A weird noise never heard before. Hard to describe. Like a bear's roar melting on it's own throat.

She felt uneasy and was about to go inside, but then she caught a sigh of something.

Something catastrophic in her eyes.

It was the cabin.

The nearby cabin, was engulfed in flames.

The woman thought that there was a terrorist attack occurring at that exact moment.

And from one moment to another, her suspicion became certainty.

A living species running, limping and falling, all while making some weird roars that were impossible to understand due to the distortion.

The thing had half of his face swallowed by fire, blue fire, while the other half being hard to recognize due to the opposite side burning it, and the thing's movement being nonstop.

That thing was me.

The woman started screaming hysterically, as she ran back inside.

Other's nearby heard the commotion, and went to check if everything was fine. While I stayed there, hobbling to places I couldn't even make out with my limited vision and the pain I was going through.

People started to panic, proclaiming stuff like:

"It's him!"

"He's back!"

"Someone kill him!"

When those accusation's that I didn't even understand reached my ears, I started to panic.

"DองOอฃฬทอกnอกฬญ'Tอกฬ„อฏ Kอ…อˆอ 'ฬ“ฬœอ—iฬผฬจLฬงฬ“LฬŽฬ†ฬ“ Mฬชอ…e_ฬดอคeฬ›Eฬช!?ฬ™ฬต!ฬ“อšฬฏ!ฬ อฉ"

Nobody could understand what I was saying.

I kept asking for help, but then I fell again, my hands connected with the floor, and when that happened, a random surge of heat traveled through my hands to the cracks on the rifted ground, crawling through each tunnel, and coming straight back up to the surface like a raging river, which ended up striking some people, leaving them harmed.

Even tho I couldn't even think properly because of the pain of my face melting, I noticed the damage and harm I was causing, so I went from asking for help to:

"ฬ†_ฬƒฬฅฬฏSฬ”อ“อฎอŸฬฑฬตtอ†อ˜อฉอŠอฌaฬŽYฬ…ฬฉฬอ‚ฬšฬง Aอœwอ•อ—ฬœอชฬ“ฬฌAฬฟอŽอžอ–Yอ‘อฆฬดฬ” fRฬ„ฬฆฬดอฅฬตฬ’Rฬ’อองฬผฬ‹Mฬฃอฬฎอšฬžmฬ„ฬ›ฬ‘ mอกอฃอฆฬ„EฬšฬทEอ†?อ‡ฬ›อžอ‰ฬธฬชฬก!!อ…ฬซฬ˜อ†อช"ฬฃอˆฬงฬ–อจฬ“

Over and over.

But nobody understood what I was saying.

I felt helpless.

I was helpless.

But after more agonizing pain and screaming, I saw my Mother and Sister, from afar, looking straight at me with worry and fear, as others kept screaming and yelling, to kill me.

In my mind I thought that they recognized me, that they knew it was me.

But thinking about it better, they didn't, I was unrecognizable at that moment.

And my Mother would naturally run towards my direction, but at that moment, she didn't.

So I entered into despair again.

"I don't want to die." I thought to myself, over and over again.

"I don't want to die."

"I don't want to die."

"I don't want to die."

"I don't want to die."

Even tho it was dark.

"I don't want to die."

"I don't want to die."

"I don't want to die."

"I don't want to die."

I could see his shadow.

"I don't want to die."

"I don't want to die."

"I don't want to die."

"I don't want to die."

It was him, I was sure.

As I looked up.

It was him.

My Father. He finally showed up.

I felt such a relieve, even tho I was melting every second, I smiled, even tho most of my smile disintegrated every 3 to 4 seconds, him just being in front of me felt like every problem could be solved easily. This time, it was him running to my salvation.

As I looked at my rescue, something was unusual, uncanny.

My smile of hope, disintegrated once again, but this time it didn't come back up.

I noticed my father's eyes, he always had a certain look in his eyes according to his mood.

And in that moment, his eyes were telling me:ย "I'm going to hurt you."

I was already trying to get up right when I saw his eyes, even before he tried anything, and as I was getting up to turn around and run, his fist of fire lit up.

He pulled his arm back.

7 Days Later...

(Yu's Perspective)

I was tired of running.

But I had to keep going, or they'd catch me.

"Come back here!"

"You won't get away!"

They kept threatening me all the way, which strained them a bit, making them slow down, that became a big advantage for me.

I was almost about to give up and fall to my knees, I've been running for so long, but then, I saw a hideout.

A cave.

It was in the middle of some bumpy hills with lots of trees.

I hopped straight in, and hid there.

I'm normally scared of insects or bugs, but the adrenaline and fear of those men were enough to make me crawl inside of this bottomless pit.

I stayed there, silent.

I could hear their threats from afar, their voices descending gradually.

And after a while, everything became silent.

The silence became the loudest thing surrounding me.

But not for too long.

I started to hear some type of groaning coming from deep within the cave.

I was scared, I really didn't want to go further towards the void, but it felt like I had to go see what was making that horrible noise.

It might be someone in need.

So, after thinking if I should go or not, I eventually did.

I went deeper and deeper, telling myself:

"It's okay, it's okay, it's all a dream, just a dream."

And after a bit of tiptoeing, I started to see some type of light, or glow.

The noise became clearer and clearer the more I got closer, I started to be able to realize that what I was hearing, was someone crying in pain, and muttering stuff to themselves.

"Are you okay!" I ask, announcing myself present.

No response, just the same groan and muttering.

"I'm coming in! If you don't mind."

When I built up the courage to go, I placed my feet onto the glowing floor, grabbed the border of the wall, and put my head in, slowly from the edge, and what I saw left me feeling something weird, as if my heart had stop beating for a few seconds.

It was a boy around my age, a bit older, with his knees on the floor and elbows too, like in all fours, but not entirely, he was all curled up, shirt all torn apart.

His hands were covering his face, he was hurt everywhere, and so dirty that I couldn't even distinguish his spiky hair with the cave's walls from how dusty he was.

After analyzing him a bit, he finally saw me.

His vivid blue eyes with those blazing blue tails locked into mine, it felt like time froze around us, mixing the shades of blue and green while we stayed looking at each-other.

I could tell that he was in a lot of pain.

I thought it was ๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฎ for a moment.
