Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 - Zen-Long

Although it is obvious, I want to make something clear, this is my story.

Now, allow me to vent...

I am sick of ultimatums and those who threaten to leave if things don't go as they expect.

If you want to leave, go ahead... I don't owe you anything.

If you feel this isn't worth it or bores you, the door is open.

At Kami's Sacred Lookout, shortly after Piccolo exited the Time Chamber and Goku left in search of a new Kami to bring back the Dragon Balls, calm seemed to have returned.

Piccolo was sitting with his legs and arms crossed on the white tiles surrounding the lookout, meditating with his eyes closed.

Not too far from him were Future Trunks and Mr. Popo, waiting patiently for Vegeta to exit the Time Chamber so the young man could enter again.

But suddenly, the sky was completely dyed a deep blood-red color and the clouds turned completely black.

At the precise instant this happened, Piccolo snapped his eyes open and stood up, watching the sky in disbelief.

Trunks and Mr. Popo did the same, taking a step back.

"Mister Piccolo!" Trunks exclaimed, turning toward him and asking with urgency. "What is happening? Is it Cell?!"

Piccolo, with his brow deeply furrowed, shook his head.

"I don't know," he replied with a deep voice. "But it looks like when the Dragon Balls are used."

Trunks swallowed audibly.

He looked up, seeing the immense serpentine body of a creature with shiny silver fur appearing in the sky.

From the looks of it, its size was so massive that it was completely circling the planet.

"It's just as I thought..." Piccolo muttered to himself, clenching his fists.

"Could this... be Shenron?" Trunks asked, unable to look away from the red sky.

Mr. Popo, keeping his firm posture, with his hands behind his back, answered him. "Shenron is not that big."

Piccolo turned sharply toward the boy.

"Stay here, Trunks. Wait for Vegeta to exit the Time Chamber so you can go in after him. I will go investigate what the hell is going on."

Without waiting for an answer or allowing time for objections, Piccolo took flight.

Since the creature surrounded the planet, he figured that at some point he must reach the head, the exact place where it must have been summoned.

That was what Piccolo thought, accelerating to the maximum.

He only hoped to arrive before whoever had summoned it finished making their wishes.

...

"YOU HAVE AWAKENED THE DRAGON OF BALANCE, GOD OF DRAGONS!" Zen-Long's majestic voice boomed. "TELL ME YOUR WISHES, AND NO MATTER WHAT THEY ARE, I WILL GRANT THEM TO YOU!"

The immense silver dragon made a brief pause, his eyes shining before issuing a warning.

"BUT REMEMBER THESE WORDS!"

"IF THE DRAGON BALLS DO NOT RETURN TO THE PLANET WHERE I WAS LAST SUMMONED WITHIN A YEAR, IT SHALL BE DESTROYED!"

Zaiko, still transformed into a Super Saiyan 5, looked at Zen-Long with his chest slightly puffed out with pride.

This was his own creation, after all.

Seeing that the God of Dragons was exactly as he had imagined him in his mind, he couldn't help but feel genuinely proud, almost like a father looking at his own son.

Without thinking about it much longer, Zaiko communicated with him in the Divine Language and asked how many wishes he could grant him.

He had transmitted almost the entirety of his energy reserves to him when creating him, so he hoped he could fulfill three wishes, just like Porunga and Shenron.

But at the same time, since Zen-Long could grant wishes that the other dragons didn't have the power to fulfill, he thought that perhaps his limit would have been reduced to a single wish per summoning. That's why he preferred to ask and make sure.

"I can grant you three wishes in total, without any kind of restriction," Zen-Long replied immediately.

Upon hearing his answer, Zaiko smiled broadly, showing his sharp canines.

Having heard this, he had no more questions for Zen-Long.

Still speaking to Zen-Long in the Divine Language, he proceeded to make his first wish.

"My first wish is that, every time I call the Silver... Star Dragon Balls, they fly directly to where I am, no matter where in the universe I may be."

This way, he made sure that, in case they were stolen or scattered across the universe, he could recover them with a simple call.

And what was even more important, it made the tedious problem of having to search for them across the universe to prevent the planet from being destroyed disappear completely.

As for the Dragon Balls themselves floating in the sky, in front of Zen-Long... they were no longer orange with black stars inside.

They had turned completely black, and the stars inside them now shone with a metallic silver tone.

Was this change due to his Divine Ki? Or perhaps the fact that his Ki was categorized as evil?

Zaiko didn't overthink it; he really didn't care at all what the Dragon Balls looked like, as long as they fulfilled their function.

"YOUR FIRST WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED!" Zen-Long exclaimed. "NOW YOU CAN CALL THE SILVER STAR DRAGON BALLS TO YOU WHENEVER YOU WISH."

Smiling, Zaiko began to think of his second wish.

And he thought...

And kept thinking...

He really didn't have any other important wish to ask for, did he?

Immortality, perhaps?

He shook his head.

He really didn't need to be immortal. With his current level of strength, there were very few beings in all the universes capable of even scratching him, maybe only two, if he didn't count individuals from other universes, and those two were only the God of Destruction Beerus and his Angel Whis.

Besides, as a God—being a Saiyan/Supreme Kai hybrid—his body simply didn't age; he would always remain in his physical prime.

Immortality was ruled out, then.

Maybe he could wish to obtain all the magical knowledge in the universe?

While he remained deep in thought, Zen-Long looked at him closely from the sky.

Faced with the prolonged silence, a comical and enormous drop of sweat seemed to slide down the silver dragon's temple.

"MY CREATOR..." Zen-Long spoke to him with a certain tone of urgency. "DO YOU NOT HAVE ANY MORE WISHES?"

Zaiko, upon hearing him, raised a finger calmly, without even looking at him.

"Wait. Let me think for a few more minutes."

Only then, Zaiko's sharp hearing caught the sound of hurried footsteps running directly in his direction.

By her Ki, he discovered it was Broly.

"Zaiko!" she called out to him, yelling as she approached, excitedly pointing at Zen-Long in the sky. "What is that thing?!"

Once Broly reached his side, running from their new house, where she had been waiting for him, she placed a hand covering her mouth and leaned close to his ear.

She had to stand on tiptoe to reach his height and, in a whisper, asked him:

"Hey... isn't that a lot of meat up there? Can we hunt it to eat?"

"I AM NOT A GAME ANIMAL!" Zen-Long exclaimed immediately, indignant, clearly having heard her.

But, since he was speaking exclusively in the Divine Language, Broly simply blinked at him, tilted her head, placed a finger lightly on her chin in a sign of confusion, and looked at Zaiko.

"I didn't understand anything he said," she admitted innocently.

At that moment, Zaiko burst into laughter.

"No, Broly, he isn't food," Zaiko explained with a smile, pointing upward. "Meet Zen-Long. He's a magical Dragon God who grants wishes."

Only then did Zaiko have a brilliant idea; he pounded his fist onto the palm of his hand and stared at her.

"Hey, would you like to make a wish?" Zaiko offered cheerfully. "He can grant you absolutely anything you want, whatever it is."

Broly placed a finger on her chin again, adopting an adorable thoughtful expression on her face.

At that moment, Broly looked at Zaiko out of the corner of her eye.

For the first time since she came running, she stopped to look at his new appearance from top to bottom.

"What happened to your appearance?" she asked him with curiosity.

"Do you dislike it?" Zaiko answered, smiling. "It's just a transformation."

Broly nodded slowly, understanding.

"I... like it," she muttered, staring a few seconds too long at his defined, bulging muscles and his silver fur.

In his Super Saiyan 5 state, Zaiko's body was much larger in every way.

If in his base state he was already slightly taller than Broly, now, transformed, he was at least two and a half heads taller than her.

Realizing that her gaze rested on his torso for much longer than necessary, Broly blushed and quickly looked away, betrayed only by her tail, which began to wag much faster than usual out of nervousness.

Zaiko, amused by her reaction, moved his own silver tail quickly like a whip and caught Broly's tail.

Both tails intertwined with each other in a highly intimate gesture.

Broly tensed slightly upon feeling the firm contact of Zaiko's tail wrapping around hers, before letting out a deep sigh and letting herself fall directly into his arms.

She hugged him, resting her head on his chest, with their tails still tightly coiled.

"I don't have any wish," Broly finally told him, closing her eyes peacefully. "I already have everything I want."

Zaiko hugged her, wrapping a single arm around her, drawing her even closer against his fur-covered chest, feeling a warm sensation inside before looking back up at Zen-Long.

Before, he had been stuck, but only when Broly appeared by his side did Zaiko think of what to wish for.

Speaking again in the Divine Language, Zaiko asked Zen-Long to fulfill his second wish.

"I want Broly to never lose control again, maintaining her perfect sanity even when she transforms into the Legendary Super Saiyan."

Zen-Long's enormous eyes shone upon hearing it.

"THAT IS A WISH TOO EASY TO FULFILL," he exclaimed.

Zaiko rolled his eyes upon hearing him.

«There's no need to show off either», Zaiko thought, maintaining his calm expression.

Zen-Long looked at him with anticipation.

"TELL ME, MY CREATOR... WHAT IS YOUR THIRD AND FINAL WISH?"

But right at that moment, Zaiko frowned, sensing a Ki approaching them at high speed.

From what he could deduce, it was Piccolo.

He had thought it wouldn't take him long enough to make the wishes for them to find him, but apparently, he had been wrong.

He had even waited for Goku to leave the planet and go in search of Dende on New Namek to ensure this and avoid unnecessary interruptions.

With Piccolo so close, his third wish would have to wait for later.
