Chapter 5: The Chip
At dawn, Kai left her with a single casino chip.
"Keep it," he said. "It might save your life."
She laughed it off—until she looked closer.
It wasn't a normal chip.
There was a marking carved into it. A symbol.
Later that day, curiosity pulled her back to the casino.
She showed it to a dealer.
The color drained from his face.
"Where did you get this?"
Before she could answer, two men grabbed her.
"Boss wants to see you."
