There was the face I had never seen him make since I knew him. A look of desperation, self pity and hopeless ambition.
George always walked with an air of pride, spoke with an air of pride and lifted his shoulder as though whatever he said in a room was final and reverent. He was never the type to beg, or persist feebly for an answer. He demanded for a response and if the worse came to worse, he was ready to buy out your opinion.
But not today. Today, I had him on the tip of my finger. He was gonna bark if I told him to.
"Easy there, George, you don't want the people around you to think you're crazy," I snickered.
He tightened his clenched fist and looked around. "You're trying to work for my brother, huh? After all I have done for you. I put you in this position when no one would dare look at you, but you betray me,"
