Chapter 1 - the last chance in life

Chapter 1: The End or the Beginning?

Rain was falling heavily over the city, covering everything in a cold and suffocating

silence, the streets were almost empty except for a few hurried figures trying to

escape the storm, but in the middle of it all, Yassin kept walking slowly, his clothes

completely soaked, his steps heavy as if they carried the weight of all his failures, his

eyes empty and lifeless, he didn't even try to protect himself from the rain, as if

nothing mattered anymore, as if he had already given up on everything, "No job… no

money… no future…" he murmured with a bitter smile, his voice almost lost in the

sound of the rain, lightning suddenly cut across the sky, illuminating his face for a

brief second, and in that instant, memories flooded his mind all at once, missed

opportunities, broken promises, dreams he was too afraid to chase, "I had so many

chances…" he whispered, his voice trembling, "…and I wasted all of them," he took

another step forward without looking, without thinking, completely lost in his regrets,

and that's when it happened, a car rushed through the wet road at full speed, the driver

unable to react in time, the sound of brakes tearing violently through the silence,

SKREEECH—!!, then impact, a brutal shock that erased everything in an instant, no

pain, no sound, just darkness, complete and endless, Yassin couldn't feel his body

anymore, couldn't breathe, couldn't even tell if he still existed, "Am I… dead?" his

voice echoed into the void, but there was no answer, only an oppressive silence that

seemed to stretch forever, until suddenly, something shifted, a presence, cold,

overwhelming, inhuman, "You died with regrets," a deep voice echoed from

everywhere at once, making the darkness itself tremble, Yassin froze, unable to

understand, unable to react, "You had chances… and you wasted them," the words

sank deep into his mind, each one heavier than the last, he tried to speak, to defend

himself, but no words came out, because deep inside, he knew it was the truth, every

regret, every failure, every lost opportunity, "I just… wanted more time…" he

whispered weakly, and for a brief moment, everything went silent again, as if the

universe itself was considering his words, then suddenly, a blinding light pierced

through the darkness, "Very well," the voice returned, colder, more absolute, "I will

give you one last chance," Yassin's heart trembled between hope and fear, but before

he could react, the voice continued, heavier, more terrifying, "This is your FINAL life,

no second chances, no mercy, fail again… and you will disappear forever," a burning

sensation exploded in his chest as a strange symbol carved itself into his body, his

scream echoed into nothingness, "Fix your life… or lose it completely," and in the

next instant, everything shattered, light swallowed him whole, erasing the darkness

completely, until—Yassin's eyes shot open as he gasped violently for air, his body

covered in sweat, his heart beating like it was about to explode, he looked around in

confusion, his small messy room, his bed, his phone beside him, everything normal, too normal, "I'm… alive?" he whispered, his hands shaking as he grabbed his phone

and checked the date, and the moment he saw it, his entire body froze, his pupils

shrinking in shock, "No way…" three years, he had gone back three entire years into

the past, memories instantly connected in his mind, this day, this exact moment, it was

where everything had started going wrong in his previous life, the first mistake, the

first failure, the beginning of his downfall, his grip tightened slowly as his expression

changed, fear fading away, replaced by something colder, stronger, determination,

"This time…" he said quietly, his voice steady and firm, "I'll change everything," he

stood up and looked at his reflection in the mirror, same face, same life, but not the

same person anymore, "No more regrets, no more fear, no more wasted chances," his

eyes burned with resolve, because deep inside, he knew one thing for sure—this was

his last chance, and this time… he wouldn't fail.
