Jaxen's jaw dropped. He was just about to protest when he sensed another presence approaching. The newcomer was a tall young man with striking crimson hair. Furthermore, his pair of golden, beast-like eyes made anyone who met his gaze feel uneasy.
"Zarkel? Don't tell me..." Jaxen stared at Caelis in disbelief. "He's the fifth member?"
"He is," Caelis replied as he walked over to greet the newcomer. "Zark, your hair and eyes are too conspicuous."
Zarkel immediately cast a spell, changing his crimson hair to black like Eloina's and transforming his golden pupils into ordinary human eyes.
"Lina," Caelis said, "this is my childhood friend, Zarkel." Then he turned toward Zarkel. "Zarkel, this is the Lina I told you about."
Zarkel smiled warmly at Lina without saying a word.
