Caelis sighed for what felt like the hundredth time. "Very well. However, if the Magic Tower discovers that Selene is still alive, I'm afraid they won't let you go so easily again."
Selene fell silent, fully aware that her husband was speaking the truth. "Use this."
The white dragon exhaled a puff of icy mist from his mouth. Moments later, a black token made of moss-green jade appeared before her.
"What is this?"
"It's a summoning token from the Magic Tower. Destroy it and leave immediately. Someone from the Magic Tower will come here."
"A summoning token?" Selene examined it curiously. "But it doesn't look like the ones I remember."
"It's been eight years. There are some changes you missed," Caelis explained without elaborating further.
"Alright."
Selene allowed the black token to float above her palm before clenching her fist and crushing it into pieces. Immediately, she felt a wave of mana surge upward into the sky. It was clearly a summoning signal intended for mages.
