Renee Kane instinctively leaned over the rail, peering down at the Ghost Ship's hull.
The Ghost Ship floated silently on the surface, completely unaffected by these strange waters.
That strange feeling washed over Renee Kane again.
If it weren't for the Ghost Ship, she wouldn't have gotten the treasure chest on board.
Without the treasure chest, she wouldn't have obtained the map and the coordinates for this patch of sea.
And anything that entered these waters immediately sank, yet only the Ghost Ship could sail upon them...
'It's hard to describe this uncomfortable feeling, like I'm being led around by the nose.'
But on the other hand, she could clearly sense this was different from the kind of forceful guidance Big Eyes had subjected her to.
In more mystical terms, she didn't sense any malice in this. Instead, it felt more like someone was trying to guide her toward certain information.
