The Explorer's Journal was only three pages long.
Renee Kane flipped through it back and forth several times in disbelief before finally giving up—it really was an incomplete journal. After reading it, she had even more questions than before.
With a bitter smile, she tossed the journal into her inventory. Out of sight, out of mind.
But the good mood she'd managed to find was ultimately ruined.
'As expected, you can't get too complacent. After a great high, a great low is sure to follow.'
The journal looked ancient. Renee Kane suspected that this so-called Explorer… was very likely not from her time.
'Or perhaps… a different time and space?'
Sometimes, Renee Kane wasn't sure if knowing more was a good thing.
But if she had to choose, she would rather suffer while being aware than live in a muddle-headed daze as she had in her previous life, where her only thought each day was how to survive.
Taking a deep breath, Renee Kane was struck by a strange feeling.
