Not long after Killer Whale left, Renee Kane's eyes snapped open amidst the swirling snowflakes. She gasped for breath and, fueled by a final burst of energy, quickly scrambled into the cellar.
In the deepest corner of the cellar, she dug up a Golden Treasure Box that she had deliberately buried just below the surface.
Because her initial backpack only had five slots—which was nowhere near enough—Renee Kane had to store the props and supplies from the boxes she dug up this way.
The cellar had been too dark before, so Killer Whale hadn't noticed the freshly disturbed soil when he came down.
The Golden Treasure Box now only held a blanket and some miscellaneous items, but it had previously yielded a prop card and a bowl of steaming hot ginger soup.
And Renee had already used that prop card.
