Faye Yardley returned to her raft, slightly dazed.
Yes, she had taken the Ice Wyrm directly from Zephyr Sterling's bedroom and come straight back.
Before leaving, she thought she had heard Henry Lewis's furious roaring. It obviously wasn't directed at Zephyr Sterling or her. So, had the Master returned to the raft after she left?
Unable to figure it out, she simply called the Master, but he didn't answer. So, she sent a message: "Master, did you get into an argument with Mr. Lewis after you went back?"
This time, Master Veridian replied quickly: "That little brat has grown bold enough to yell at me! Sigh, such a misfortune for the family."
She wondered if it shouldn't be a misfortune for the sect instead.
Not wanting to agitate Master Veridian any further, Faye asked, "I've taken what they came for. Are they still not leaving?"
The Master didn't reply this time. After some thought, Faye directed the same question to Zephyr Sterling.
Zephyr Sterling didn't reply either.
