After taking the items, Baby peeked his head out again to look at her, his mouth twisting even further. "Miss Yard...ley. Trade. For you."
After speaking, Baby lowered his head and fumbled for something. A moment later, he threw an object toward Faye Yardley.
She reached out and caught it. It was a small stone.
Faye Yardley was about to say he didn't have to, but Baby said, "Thank you. Going back now. Bye-bye."
Then his little head retracted, and all was quiet.
After waiting for a moment and hearing nothing more, Faye Yardley walked over to check. There was no one in sight.
She searched back and forth several times, but the area was empty, holding nothing but stones and crumbling ruins.
'Where did he go?'
