"Jules, I'm fine!" she said hurriedly. Her voice was muffled from being buried in Miles Murray's chest. "Don't come down. Just wait for me over there."
"Sister, he's taking advantage of you!" Jude Sheffield stood at the water's edge, his fists clenched tight. His eyes were fixed on the hand Miles Murray had wrapped around Josie's waist, and he wished he could chop it off.
"Ahem... That's not what's happening!" Josie tried to make her voice sound calm. "Be good. Go wait for me over there, okay?"
Jude Sheffield stared at the two of them, who were practically melded together. His gaze zeroed in on Miles Murray's hand, clasped firmly around Josie's bare waist, and his expression grew even more sinister and terrifying.
