The twining vines and ice spikes dissipated in an instant.
Mr. Hawthorne let out a heavy "humph," straightened his clothes, his expression still dark.
"He... he insulted me first. You can't blame me..."
Sienna Shaw mumbled in her defense, but her heart was pounding with a mix of fear and relief. 'Thank goodness I didn't actually hurt him. If I'd injured Lucas Lockwood's father, trying to win Lucas over would be next to impossible.'
"Get out of here, now! Our safe zone doesn't welcome troublemakers like you!" Mr. Hawthorne, furious, immediately ordered them to be expelled.
