Only Josie Quinn and Cole were left in the apartment.
Josie pondered for a moment before walking up to Cole. "What happened between you two?" she asked. "Why are you acting so strangely?"
Cole tilted his head and said with a smile, "What could have happened? Isn't it good that we're getting along peacefully?"
Josie raised an eyebrow. "Really? You're not hiding anything from me?"
Cole kept smiling. "Nope. It's a peaceful agreement between men."
Since he wasn't willing to talk, Josie didn't press him further.
After a moment's hesitation, Josie continued, "Cole, I promised Lucas Lockwood I'd stay here with him for a few days. We'll leave together after he's taken care of his business. Here, take these Crystal Cores."
She took out the Crystal Cores she'd gotten from Miles Murray and the ones they'd collected on their journey, put them in a bag, and handed it to him. "When you go back, please take these to Julian for me. The lab must be in urgent need of them."
