Theodore Lockwood sighed theatrically. "In the end, it was my Hawthorne family that wronged her. I plan to arrange for someone to send her to another safe zone."
It wasn't exactly a respectable matter, and Theodore Lockwood didn't wish to elaborate.
He looked at Julian Ford, changing the subject. "Professor Ford, what brings you here today?"
"I need several high-performance computers." Julian Ford's voice was devoid of emotion.
"Of course! I'll have someone search the warehouse at once. They'll be sent to you as soon as they're found!" Theodore Lockwood agreed readily, then adopted a posture to see him out. "Professor Ford, as you can see, I have some family matters to attend to, so I won't keep you. Shall I have someone escort you back?"
But Julian Ford didn't move.
His gaze fell on Josie Quinn once more before shifting to Theodore Lockwood. A faint, chilling smile touched his lips. "Minister Hawthorne, perhaps... I can help you take care of her."
Theodore Lockwood froze.
