"No!"
Jayce stepped forward and refused outright.
"This is too dangerous! The probability of success is too low. Sierra can't try it. I'll do it!"
Hearing this, Dr. Hayes gave Jayce a surprised look.
Dr. Hayes had been a little annoyed when Jayce refused so bluntly just now.
But after hearing Jayce's last few words, Dr. Hayes raised his eyebrows.
"You'll do it?" A slight smile touched the corners of Dr. Hayes's mouth. "Aren't you afraid?"
"I'm not afraid." Jayce looked at Sierra. "No matter what, I'll always stand in front of Sierra."
Sierra wasn't surprised that Jayce would make such a decision.
But this time, Sierra didn't want Jayce to shield her.
'I'm not some helpless little girl who can't take care of herself. In this perilous apocalypse, pinning all my hopes on another person isn't a wise decision.'
'Even if that person is Jayce, it's not happening.'
"You don't have to!" Sierra looked at Jayce seriously. "This time, I want to do it myself."
