Chaoyang was reasonably polite to Ouyang Chen. He gave a casual salute. "Long time no see. And here we are, all bunched up again. So annoying."
"Chaoyang is as straightforward as ever."
Ouyang Chen preferred the devil-may-care Chaoyang to the ice-cold Sima Yue. Conversation was always more relaxed between the two of them.
Dongfang Xuri, a man in a plaid suit, also smiled and opened his arms, jogging over to embrace Chaoyang. "Brother, long time no see! Still fighting crickets?"
"Pah! Get away from me. You reek. Did you come to this godforsaken place just to smoke out the birds with that stench?"
Chaoyang dodged his perfumed embrace, a look of utter disgust on his face. "You don't even take your bird for a walk anymore, and my cricket has practically become a legend. But you? You've gotten even flashier."
After he spoke, the two exchanged a cool smile, their eyes bright.
