Kaelan let out another low, highly amused chuckle, his eyes gleaming with a calculating intelligence behind his spectacles as he watched Marcus frantically smooth down his wrinkled shirt. The sheer chaos of the assistant's sheer relief was highly entertaining, but Kaelan wasn't finished throwing gasoline onto the fire just yet. He took a deliberate step forward, moving past the trembling Marcus and placing himself directly within Malcolm Ford's field of vision.
"Well, Chief Executive Ford," Kaelan began, his voice dripping with a smooth confidence that immediately drew Malcolm's suspicious amber eyes toward him. "Since you are being so incredibly progressive and understanding about your personal assistant's private life outside of the corporate boundaries of the Deviloy Tech Company, I believe it is only proper that I lay all my cards flat on the table."
