The scene quickly changed. Qiao An, Wei Yun, and Wei Shui were sitting in a row, with a noticeable gap between them. On closer inspection, you could see the plump Mouse King occupying that spot.

Qiao An was chatting idly with the Mouse King, whose only replies were a series of squeaks. Wei Yun and Wei Shui, meanwhile, chewed in silence, not daring to interrupt. Since they couldn't understand a thing anyway, they might as well have been deaf and blind.
