Riding a shared bike, Qiao An wobbled her way back home, only to find a note left by Ding Fengchun. It said she had already fed Ao Bai and the Little Fox, that Little Bai and Little Qing were still sleeping, and that she had left for work.
Looking at the spotlessly clean house, the faint scent of food still lingering in the air, and knowing her sister had helped feed the cats—it was the very picture of a happy life.
With nothing else to do, Qiao An lay contentedly on the sofa, cuddling the Little Fox and scrolling through her phone. But alas, happiness is always fleeting; she had to go to work tomorrow.
Just then, Ao Bai, who was on the cat tree, poked his head out and started meowing.
