Evelyn Grant actually had a credit card he had given her, one with no limit, but she had never used it.
Her eyes curved into a smile. "You're too kind, Mr. Keaton."
'This girl… she has a bit of nerve, but not much.'
'Ever since she got drunk that one time and tentatively called me by my name, she has never done it again, even though I gave her permission.'
'To my face, she's all obedient, calling me "Mr. Keaton, Mr. Keaton," thinking I don't know that she's happily calling me by my first name behind my back.'
'She only puts on a show of being obedient in front of people.'
'The moment I'm gone, she becomes defiant.'
But Preston Keaton was happy to indulge her.
He placed the wine on the dining table and patiently raised his eyes to look at her. "Is there something you want to tell me?"
