It was a message from Preston Keaton: "Come out."

She stood up, her tone urgent. "Where is he?"
"He's in the garden. It seems like he's waiting for someone."

Stella Ford suddenly became coy. Biting her lower lip, she said with great reserve, "Sophie, your brother is here. I'll walk you over."
