Evelyn Grant was in no mood to listen to him. Her face was pale with terror, her eyes pitifully red.
Then, Preston Keaton reached over to unbuckle her seatbelt. She shook her head in terror, calling out for Mr. Keaton again and again, her voice choked with sobs.
Preston Keaton's expression was frigid. Ignoring her cries, he scooped her into his arms and forcibly carried her to the edge of the open cabin.
Below them was Sovereign Harbor, the people on the ground as tiny as ants. Looking down sent a wave of dizziness through her, born of extreme terror and anxiety.
Fat tears fell, only to be swept away by the wind. Through the headset, only the sound of her sobbing could be heard.
"Are you scared?"
The man's tone was composed. He glanced down indifferently at the young woman in his arms, even taking a moment to wipe away her tears before saying nonchalantly, "If you're scared, hold me tight."
