When Zachary Fairchild opened the door and entered the room, the scene that met his eyes had changed completely.
As his eyes swept around the living room, Zachary Fairchild's expression softened considerably.
"You're back."
Zachary Fairchild was looking toward a corner of the living room when he heard Olivia Wynne's voice come from behind him.
Zachary Fairchild turned his head and immediately saw Olivia Wynne standing in the kitchen doorway, wearing an apron.
Something stirred within the man, and he parted his lips to speak.
"Mm."
"Are you cooking?"
Zachary Fairchild asked slowly, his voice low.
Even though Zachary Fairchild's face was completely expressionless, Olivia Wynne could tell he was in a good mood when he spoke.
"Yes, it's almost ready. Go wash your hands; we can eat now."
"Okay," Zachary Fairchild replied in a low, slightly hoarse voice.
