Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: How Was It, Sleeping with Evan Yates?

Olivia Wynne returned home, laden with shopping bags. She didn't open any of her new purchases. Instead, she gently pressed her left hand on the lotus-flower mark on her right hand, and she vanished from the house.

The lotus-flower mark on her right hand was actually the entrance to a pocket dimension that had come with her from the apocalypse.

The flow of time in the dimension wasn't the same as in the real world. A month inside was a day outside. The casting call was tomorrow morning, so she could use today's single day to spend a whole month in the dimension, thoroughly familiarize herself with the script for *Phoenix*, and delve into the character's psychology.

...

The next morning, Olivia Wynne emerged from the dimension early. She washed up, applied some light makeup, and then headed to the audition venue.

The audition for *Phoenix* was packed.

After getting a number from a staff member, Olivia Wynne found a spot in a corner and sat down quietly.

"Isn't that Olivia Wynne? After doing something so shameful, she still has the nerve to show her face here."

A sharp, female voice broke Olivia Wynne's train of thought. She frowned slightly and looked up at the speaker.

"Who are you?"

The cool, detached question caught May Sutton, who had been ready to launch into a tirade, completely off guard.

Her face flushing red, May Sutton glared at Olivia Wynne. "Who do you think you are, Olivia Wynne? With your reputation, do you really think anyone will still cast you?"

"You should leave now before you humiliate yourself."

Gazing coolly at May Sutton, Olivia Wynne chuckled. "I'm a nobody, but you know my name. You, on the other hand, have been running your mouth, and I don't even know who you are. I guess that shows I'm more famous than you."

Putting away her phone, Olivia Wynne stood up. "So maybe you should be the one to leave before you humiliate yourself."

May Sutton's face twisted, stung by Olivia Wynne's words. She glared fiercely at her. "One day, I'm going to grind you under my heel."

Looking down at May Sutton, Olivia Wynne's lips curved into a slight smile. She slowly parted them, her voice turning much colder. "Is that so? We'll see about that."

Olivia Wynne was already tall at five-foot-six, and in her high heels, she towered over May Sutton with a far more imposing presence. Though she spoke softly, her eyes held a cold light and a disdainful dominance that seemed to look down on everything. The moment she spoke, she gave everyone around her the undeniable impression that she was the one in charge.

Faced with this version of Olivia Wynne, May Sutton felt her legs tremble slightly. She clutched her purse tightly and tilted her head back to glare up at Olivia. "You just wait. I won't let you get away with this."

Just as May Sutton finished speaking, a staff member called out, "Number 26."

Olivia Wynne raised an eyebrow and glanced at May Sutton. If she wasn't mistaken, the number in the girl's hand was 26.

Sure enough, upon hearing the staff member's call, May Sutton stomped her foot, shot Olivia Wynne one last glare, and hurried away.

The few onlookers who had been watching the drama slowly dispersed after May Sutton left.

An unreadable smile touched Olivia Wynne's lips as she glanced in the direction May Sutton had gone.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Olivia Wynne heard someone call, "Number 27." She slowly rose and walked into the audition room.

Murmurs from the sidelines reached her ears, but Olivia Wynne's expression remained placid, as if she hadn't heard a thing.

"See her? She's the one who tried to ride Actor Laureate Yates's coattails to the top."

"She has the face of a slutty seductress. A total vixen."

"How can she still show her face in public after ruining someone's family?"

...

May Sutton came out of the room with a smile on her face. The smile froze when she saw Olivia Wynne. Tipping her chin up, she huffed, "Not just anyone can act in a Director Shepherd production. Some people probably couldn't even land a minor female role."

Olivia shot May Sutton a sideways glance, leaned in slightly, and said in a voice only the two of them could hear, "How was it, sleeping with Evan Yates?"
