"We're just going out for fun today. Are you sure about wearing such a sharp suit?"
Phoebe Faulkner studied Jace Lennox. Dressed so handsomely, he was bound to turn every head in the room. She reached out and tugged his tie. "Mr. Lennox, just what are you planning, dressed like that?"
Jace Lennox saw that Phoebe was getting bolder by the day—bold enough to grab his tie and tease him like that. With a swift motion of one arm, he scooped her up entirely.
Caught completely off guard, Phoebe Faulkner slammed into Jace Lennox's chest.
"Hey, you—"
She looked up, but before she could finish her angry retort, Jace Lennox carried her to the bed and pinned her beneath him.
Phoebe lay on the bed, looking up at the man above her. His eyes bored into her, glinting dangerously. In a voice impossibly deep and hoarse, he said, "It is still early. So, are you trying to play with fire?"
